This program was developed to simulate the effects of specific sound frequencies on the human brain. By playing slightly different sine wave frequencies into the left and right ears, a third, perceived frequency equal to the difference between the two (e.g. a 10 Hz Alpha wave) is created in the brain. It uses the internal DAC/ADC of the soundcard (PCM) to capture signals or generate them. Depending on the available PCM device, it's possible to generate or capture signals up to 96 Khz.
