    Bowtie 2

    Bowtie 2

A fast and sensitive gapped read aligner

...It is especially effective for reads ranging from around 50 bases to hundreds or thousands of characters, and it supports modern sequencing workflows that require gapped, local, and paired-end alignment. The tool builds compact FM-index-based reference indexes, keeping memory usage low even for large genomes like the human genome. Bowtie 2 outputs alignments in SAM format and includes companion utilities for building and inspecting indexes. It is widely used in bioinformatics pipelines for RNA-seq, DNA-seq, metagenomics, variant analysis, and other sequencing-based research tasks. Overall, Bowtie 2 remains a foundational command-line tool for high-throughput sequence alignment and reproducible computational biology workflows.

    echoes

    echoes

Echoes is a radio spectral analysis software for SDR devices

...They are very cheap SDR based on DVB-T TV tuner dongles based on Realtek's RTL2832U chipset. Starting from 0.50 Echoes embeds SoapySDR allowing the support of many other SDRs. Echoes doesn't demodulate neither decode any human-made signal. Its main goal is to analyze and record the total power of natural signals and generate screenshots and tabular data (CSV,) output in presence of particular peaks in a selected narrow range of frequencies. Since there is no demodulation, there is no provision for audio listening, except for a notify sound when an event has been recorded. ...

    WiFi Duck

    WiFi Duck

    Wireless keystroke injection attack platform

...This tool is intended to be used for testing, training, and educational purposes only. Never use it to do harm or create damage! A BadUSB pretends to be a keyboard to the computer to send keystrokes. But unlike a human, it can type hundreds of characters per second. By using a simple scripting language, it's easy to make BadUSBs type whatever you want. With the WiFi Duck, you can simply connect via WiFi to manage all scripts from within a web interface. This means that, unlike other BadUSBs, you don't need to install an app, log in, compile or copy scripts to an SD card.

    * GSA-SNP2 is a successor of GSA-SNP (Nam et al. 2010, NAR web server issue). GSA-SNP2 accepts human GWAS summary data (rs numbers, p-values) or gene-wise p-values and outputs pathway genesets ‘enriched’ with genes associated with the given phenotype. It also provides both local and global protein interaction networks in the associated pathways. * Article: SYoon, HCTNguyen, YJYoo, JKim, BBaik, SKim, JKim, SKim, DNam, "Efficient pathway enrichment and network analysis of GWAS summary data using GSA-SNP2", Nucleic Acids Research, Vol. 46(10), e60(2018)...

CUSHAW3 is an open-source parallelized, sensitive and accurate short-read aligner. This aligner proposes a general approach to properly aligning both easy and hard reads to large genomes such as the human genome. Perform evaluation on alignment quality reals that CUSHAW3 consistently outperforms CUSHAW2, BWA-MEM, Bowtie2 and GEM in terms of single-end and paired-end alignment. Furthermore, our aligner has demonstrated better paired-end alignment performance than Novalign3 for short-reads with high error rates.
