Slength
returns the length of user supplied strings
I wrote Slength while working on my SQL Final project--you see, in an SQL database when you want to store a string of text in a field you have to declare the field's type as a varchar and give it a maximum length; I wrote slength to help me figure out how long I would need to set any given varchar field. Slength was originally written in Perl, then rewritten in Python, and is now currently developed in Ruby. -

A7 is an editor-based PIM(Personal Information Manager) or Schedular. I wanted to have better schedular on both online and offline everytime. It would be good to have some collaboration between on/off tools, but it is minor priority. For offline, finally I select just A4 size (=~ letter size in the U.S.) size paper folded into 3 times(A4 -> A5 -> A6 -> A7) and ball-point pen. This project name (A7) comes from this inspiration. I coded Rodoo for personal use initially, then cleaned it up, named it, and I've put it up here for everybody. I find that it is most useful when set to run in your ~/.bash_profile (a task the installer handles). I plan to make a Windows version, as well, don't hold your breath. -
