MAP is a software that allows to create and play text adventures. Text adventure or "interactive fiction" is software simulating environments in which players use text commands to control characters and influence the environment. They were among the first computer games. MAP includes tools to create the adventure and a runner that allows to play it. Source is available and open so both the runner and tools can be modified to fit the needs or style for each adventure/creator. -

This is my high school programming project for my senior year. I worked on this with my partner, Seth Burrell. I worked on the battle system which currently has a command-line interface. Seth worked on the map editor which is drag and drop. It is still a work in progress. -

...The game implements relistically the possibility to get in various vehicles and go around, jump (also on houses and ramps). This is a sort of reference that shows to also to the geenral public (so not only C/C++ programming nerds) how such a thing is made: vehicles on hilly terrain, obstacles, and collision with them... environment with optimised viewdistance and day/night cycle (so I mean atmosphere). -

DiaT stands for: Diat is a Textadventure - but its even more, Its an emulator for playing and creating Textadventures like back in the 80s. Its written in Java. It's a program that reads data from a human-readable xml file to create a text-based game, allowing people unfamiliar with programming to craft their own customized text adventures. Sounds and graphics can also be added. -

Dark Kingdom is a text-only open-world RPG
...Open world can offer you to do almost anything, with a "natural" dialogue and dissemination "rumors" system in the game world allows players to dive deeper into fantasy-comedy atmosphere of the game. The game was not brought up to production-stable state, and is unlikely to ever be, but the open architecture allows anyone, not even familiar with the programming, easy to change the game world by editing configuration files, making any changes to it, where only player's imagination is the limit. From new items and NPC dialogs to change patterns of relationships. All in your hands :-) -
