Open Source Android Role-Playing Games (RPG)

GemRB (Game engine made with pre-Rendered Background) is a portable open-source implementation of Bioware's Infinity Engine. It was written to support pseudo-3D role playing games based on the Dungeons & Dragons ruleset (Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series, Planescape: Torment). It should run on GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, possibly other UNIX derivatives and more. It is licensed under the GPL.

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is a free rogue-like game of exploration and treasure-hunting. Stone Soup is a continuation of Linley's Dungeon Crawl. It is openly developed and invites participation from the Crawl community. See http://crawl.develz.org !

Erebus is a 2D real-time role-playing game, for Windows, Linux, Symbian and Android. This is under development, though already playable with three quests. Classic point-n-click style RPG, with dungeons to explore, enemies to fight, NPCs to talk to, sub-quests to complete, scenery to interact with, weapons, treasure and other items to find. Also supports Rogue-like keyboard controls. Binaries available for Windows and Android. Linux must be compiled from source. Older versions are available for Symbian. I am also developing the underlying game engine so that it can potentially be used to create new RPGs.

The archive you are about to download is a WordPress plugin. In order to install it you need to navigate to the admin page of your WordPress website > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin > select 'stephino-rpg.zip", install and activate it. Alternatively you can install this plugin by visiting Plugins > Add New and typing "stephino". Stephino RPG is a browser-based multi-player strategy role-playing game. The main goal is to expand your empire and complete research activities in order to uncover the history of your species. You can form cities, attack and spy on other players and robots, send resources between cities, complete research activities and use premium modifiers to boost your gameplay. Create your own platformer mini-games and play games created by others to earn rewards. Unlock the game to create your own designs and themes and re-define the rules of the game.

This project is a "roguelikelike" with OpenGL graphics and unusual magic system. It's migrating to Android now!

It works fine on Android version 4.0.3 or higher and should also work on versions between 2.2 and 4.0.3, but we have not tested it. The game doesn't need any permission to install and play. Story Escape the Stone Age is a short Adventure RPG Game. Due to an accident, you are moved back to the Stone Age. Your goal is to find the portal which brings you back home. There are some quests to complete and of course fights against Dinosaurs :)

MAP is a software that allows to create and play text adventures. Text adventure or "interactive fiction" is software simulating environments in which players use text commands to control characters and influence the environment. They were among the first computer games. MAP includes tools to create the adventure and a runner that allows to play it.
