This software is used to extract operational data from the EPEVER Triron solar-PV controller, including its PV power output, battery voltage, load current, device temperatute, etc. Data collection is done in two halves: a client ("solatonclient") that talks to the controller via a serial port and RS-485 adapter, and a server ("solatonserver") that stores the information in files. The "solatonclient" sends information to the "solatonserver" over the network, and because it does not need to write to the file-system itself it can be run on a small computer such as a Raspberry Pi.

testPI4J is a library to allow you to run your PI4J projects on your computer: develop, debug and run on your computer. When you are done, you have only to replace the testPI4J library for the real PI4J library and that's it: you can run your java program on the Raspberry Pi wihtout recompiling

yieldbuddy is an open source hydroponics controller for your indoor or outdoor grow. The Arduino sends multiple serial messages a second containing information like sensor values, relay on/off states, manual/auto modes, etc. The web interface (hosted by the Raspberry Pi running Apache2 and PHP5), allows you to login to the page and from there you can see graphs of all your sensors, their current values, whether or not your equipment is on/off (relay states), your web camera, etc. The Raspberry Pi runs a python script to receive serial messages from the Arduino, interpret them, and log all the necessary data into an SQL database. The SQL database can be run on a remote server or the Raspberry Pi itself, although its recommended to log your data to a remote server to keep the Raspberry Pi running smoothly.
