Port of OpenAI's Whisper model in C/C++
whisper.cpp is a lightweight, C/C++ reimplementation of OpenAI’s Whisper automatic speech recognition (ASR) model—designed for efficient, standalone transcription without external dependencies. The entire high-level implementation of the model is contained in whisper.h and whisper.cpp. The rest of the code is part of the ggml machine learning library. The command downloads the base.en model converted to custom ggml format and runs the inference on all .wav samples in the folder samples. whisper.cpp supports integer quantization of the Whisper ggml models. Quantized models require less memory and disk space and depending on the hardware can be processed more efficiently. -

An Arduino IDE compatible graphics and fonts library for 32-bit processors. The library is targeted at 32-bit processors, it has been performance-optimized for STM32, ESP8266 and ESP32 types. The library can be loaded using the Arduino IDE's Library Manager. Direct Memory Access (DMA) can be used with the ESP32, RP2040, and STM32 processors to improve rendering performance. "Four wire" SPI and 8 bit parallel interfaces are supported. Due to the lack of GPIO pins, the 8-bit parallel interface is NOT supported on the ESP8266. 8 bit parallel interface TFTs (e.g. UNO format mcufriend shields) can use with the STM32 Nucleo 64/144 range or the UNO format ESP32. ILI9341 and ST7796 SPI-based displays are recommended as starting points for experimenting with this library. The library supports some TFT displays designed for the Raspberry Pi (RPi) that are based on a ILI9486 or ST7796 driver chip with a 480 x 320-pixel screen. -

JSTx is used for displaying overlay graphics and text on top of a Philips television, changing channels, receiving remote control keys and changing television display modes. It is a command line utility to execute jointSPACE commands on a device that supports the jointSPACE protocol for Philips televisions (see http://jointspace.sourceforge.net for details on jointSPACE, which is based on DirectFB). It is used in various home automation/internet-of-things projects. There are three versions: 0.23 for 2009/2010 Philips televisions (xxx5 en xxx4 series), 0.24 for 2011-2012 televisions (xxx6-xxx7) and 0.24_2013 for 2013-2014 televisions (xxx8-xxx9 (only non-Android)). New Android sets (2014+) do not come with Jointspace and are not supported. It works on Linux operating systems. A Raspberry-Pi version is also available.

You Only Meter Once - The open hardware smart metering system
Researches have shown that immediate feedback can increase energy saving dramatically. YoMo aims to empower people using low-cost open hardware smart meters in their household. The metering system consists of a coordination unit, a raspberry pi, and several smart meters, arduino boards equipped with communication shields and our self-designed yomo metering shield. The smart meters are attached to household devices and monitor their energy consumption. The gathered data is timestamped and transmitted to the coordination device. This device offers interfaces to control the smart meters. On top of the software runs a apache webserver that provides all estimated data on our yomo project homepage. The system does not need any maintenance and works out of the box after the devices were integrated into the households Wi-Fi network. It was created to be the core technology that is used in a television ad insertion and digital sign, and further development has opened up many more applications. It currently is designed to run on a raspberry Pi, although it is being ported to other systems. AnyPixel.js is an open-source software and hardware library that makes it possible to use the web to create big, unusual, interactive displays. Anyone can fork the code and the schematics to create their own display at any scale. The first display using this platform is in the 8th Avenue lobby at the Google NYC office. To create this installation, we used 5880 off-the-shelf arcade buttons with LEDs inside them as our pixels. AnyPixel.js’ straightforward hardware/software framework makes it easy to build any display where each pixel is an interactive element. We've included 12 example apps written by Googlers and friends for the 8th Avenue lobby display in NYC. To check them out, install the previewer and run one of the examples. Building your own app is easy with the Anypixel framework. To get started, check out the framework documentation and the example app. -

Simple, lightweight, cross-platform (Windows / Linux / ARM6 Linux), cross-arch (x32 / x64), standalone command line file encryption program. GnuPG is probably the best application for cross-platform encryption. However, its usage on Windows PCs may be inconvenient (installation administrator rights; large executable size for perhaps just a one-time file decryption, complicated command-line switches for stronger encryption). NCrypt would fulfill this task, but does not operate on 64-bit Windows - MLCrypt was created because of this. The program's primary aim is cascade encryption: create an encrypted outer layer over an existing compressed and encrypted archive file. (Each encryption layer should have a different complex password.) MLCrypt.zip contains all the executables: Linux, Windows, Raspberry Pi. -
