This project aims to provide a method for listening on a serial port and decode incoming messages from a Galaxy security control panel. If you are running Volumio or mpd/mpc on your Raspberry Pi, you can change the song or the volume from a web page or an MPD app on your cellphone. That requires that you boot your computer, or find your cellphone.
With this little menu program and an Adafruit 16x2 LCD + Keypad, you can change the volume or the station or song from the front panel of the Pi.
