    Raspberry PI 32Gb SDHC image

Raspbian Linux OS image for 32Gb SDCH cards

...This is the same as the "official" Raspbian OS but with pre-configured ~30Gb partition mounted to root directory and ~1.5Gb swap partition. The /boot partition is mounted read-only by default for security reasons. Boots to console by default, so if you like to use desktop, you must set the initial runlevel to 5 or "sudo init 5" from console. As usual, the built-in "pi" uers's password is raspberry. Junk Ad Blocker

If you don't appreciate being "blasted" in the face by frantically flipping TV ad images, you might be interested in this project. It provides an alternate scene that the viewer may switch to during commercials and other promotions. Most modern TVs can act as a PC monitor. The viewer may easily switch to it using a remote control. PyRadMon

Automated reporting of Geiger Muller counter readings to RadMon.org

...Soon the script will also feature local logging, graphing and alerting. Just because the Cold War is "over" does not mean that there is no more threat of a radiological attack. In fact, the U.S. Homeland Security Council lists the "Detonation of a 10 Megaton Improvised Nuclear Device" as "Scenario #1" among the top 15 threats to American security. Or, if you do not believe that a nuclear bomb is likely, what about all the Chernobyl-style Soviet-era nuclear power stations still in service? The point is: let us work together as free people to jointly report and track radiation levels around the globe. ...

    MLCrypt

Simple, lightweight, standalone command-line single file encryption.

Simple, lightweight, cross-platform (Windows / Linux / ARM6 Linux), cross-arch (x32 / x64), standalone command line file encryption program. GnuPG is probably the best application for cross-platform encryption. However, its usage on Windows PCs may be inconvenient (installation administrator rights; large executable size for perhaps just a one-time file decryption, complicated command-line switches for stronger encryption). NCrypt would fulfill this task, but does not operate on 64-bit...
