    Basketball Reference

    Basketball Reference

NBA Stats API via Basketball Reference

Basketball Reference is a great site (especially for a basketball stats nut like me), and hopefully, they don't get too pissed off at me for creating this. I initially wrote this library as an exercise for creating my first PyPi package, hope you find it valuable! This library was created for another Python project where I was trying to estimate an NBA player's productivity. A lot of sports-related APIs are expensive - luckily, Basketball Reference provides a free service which can be scraped and translated into a usable API.

    PyGlossary

A tool for converting dictionary files aka glossaries

A tool for converting dictionary files aka glossaries. The primary purpose is to be able to use our offline glossaries in any Open Source dictionary we like on any OS/device. There are countless formats, and my time is limited, so I implement formats that seem more useful for myself, or for Open Source community. Also diversity of languages is taken into account. Pull requests are welcome.

    Cozette

    Cozette

A bitmap programming font optimized for coziness

...That prompted me to make the bitmap font I always wished existed: Cozette; a small-but-not-tiny bitmap font with great coverage of all the glyphs you might encounter in the terminal. I'm intentionally putting the emphasis on "you" - although Cozette already has all the glyphs I've seen in my CLI tools so far, you might find it's missing a glyph you wish it had. If that's the case, please file an issue! It's an important goal for Cozette to be a useful bitmap alternative to Nerd Fonts. Bitmap fonts are, effectively, just that - bitmaps.

    HumbleUI

    HumbleUI

    Clojure Desktop UI framework

HumbleUI is a lightweight, declarative, and composable UI framework, likely intended for building graphical user interfaces in a minimal, modular way. It emphasizes ease of use, customization, and modular components. (Note: while there is a repository, I did not find a detailed README in my search to fully confirm all capabilities.) Electron is a great landmark. Normal shortcuts, icon, its own window, file system access, notifications, OS integrations. Write once, run everywhere is no longer rejected by users. Performant enough not to noticeably lag.

    Python Progressbar

    Python Progressbar

    Progressbar 2 - A progress bar for Python 2 and Python 3

...The progressbar is based on the old Python progressbar package that was published on the now-defunct Google Code. Since that project was completely abandoned by its developer and the developer did not respond to my email, I decided to fork the package. This package is still backward compatible with the original progressbar package so you can safely use it as a drop-in replacement for existing projects. The ProgressBar class manages the current progress, and the format of the line is given by a number of widgets. A widget is an object that may display differently depending on the state of the progress bar.

    SWE-agent

    SWE-agent

SWE-agent takes a GitHub issue and tries to automatically fix it

SWE-agent turns LMs (e.g. GPT-4) into software engineering agents that can resolve issues in real GitHub repositories. On the SWE-bench, the SWE-agent resolves 12.47% of issues, achieving state-of-the-art performance on the full test set. We accomplish our results by designing simple LM-centric commands and feedback formats to make it easier for the LM to browse the repository, and view, edit, and execute code files. We call this an Agent-Computer Interface (ACI).

    segment-geospatial

    segment-geospatial

A Python package for segmenting geospatial data with the SAM

...To facilitate the use of the Segment Anything Model (SAM) for geospatial data, I have developed the segment-anything-py and segment-geospatial Python packages, which are now available on PyPI and conda-forge. My primary objective is to simplify the process of leveraging SAM for geospatial data analysis by enabling users to achieve this with minimal coding effort. I have adapted the source code of segment-geospatial from the segment-anything-eo repository, and credit for its original version goes to Aliaksandr Hancharenka.

    Django Lifecycle Hooks

    Django Lifecycle Hooks

Declarative model lifecycle hooks, an alternative to Signals

This project provides a @hook decorator as well as a base model and mixin to add lifecycle hooks to your Django models. Django's built-in approach to offering lifecycle hooks is Signals. However, my team often finds that Signals introduce unnecessary indirection and are at odds with Django's "fat models" approach. Django Lifecycle Hooks supports Python 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9, Django 2.0.x, 2.1.x, 2.2.x, 3.0.x, 3.1.x, and 3.2.x. For simple cases, you might always want something to happen at a certain point, such as after saving or before deleting a model instance. ...

    ThetaGang

    ThetaGang

ThetaGang is an IBKR bot for collecting money

ThetaGang is an IBKR trading bot for collecting premiums by selling options using "The Wheel" strategy. The Wheel is a strategy that surfaced on Reddit but has been used by many in the past. This bot implements a slightly modified version of The Wheel, with my own personal tweaks. The strategy, as implemented here, does a few things differently from the one described in the post above. For one, it's intended to be used to augment a typical index-fund-based portfolio with specific asset allocations. For example, you might want to use a 60/40 portfolio with SPY (S&P500 fund) and TLT (20-year treasury fund). ...

    YandexStation

    YandexStation

Management of Yandex Station and other smart home devices

...The integration exposes playback and volume controls, as well as text-to-speech capabilities that send spoken messages in Alice’s voice directly to the speakers. It also lets you send arbitrary text commands as if you were talking to Alice, enabling scenarios such as “play my music,” launching routines, or querying information via Home Assistant automations. In local control mode, the component can read back what is currently playing, including album art, and supports seeking and track skipping, which is more limited in cloud-only mode.

    Django friendly finite state machine

    Django friendly finite state machine

Django friendly finite state machine support

Django-fsm adds simple declarative state management for Django models. If you need parallel task execution, view, and background task code reuse over different flows - check my new project Django-view flow. Instead of adding a state field to a Django model and managing its values by hand, you use FSMField and mark model methods with the transition decorator. These methods could contain side effects of the state change. You may also take a look at the Django-fsm-admin project containing a mixin and template tags to integrate Django-fsm state transitions into the Django admin. ...

A simple Youtube to mp3 application written in python.

A simple Youtube to mp3 application written in python. I did my best to make it have a simple intuitive design, so now you don't have to go to the sketchy converters. IF NOT ON WINDOWS I believe it should work on other operating systems but I've not tested. If your OS can't run an .exe file then you must run the .py file (source code) directly.
