    pyWhat

    pyWhat

Identify emails, IP addresses, and more

pyWhat is a Python-based identification tool designed to figure out “what” a piece of text or file content represents, especially in security and OSINT workflows. Given inputs such as hex strings, URLs, email addresses, IP addresses, credit card numbers, cryptocurrency wallets, or entire .pcap capture files, it scans for structured patterns and tells you what it finds. The tool is recursive: it can traverse files and directories to extract meaningful entities, which is useful when analyzing malware samples, network captures, or code repositories at scale. It offers powerful filters called “tags” and distributions that let you narrow results to specific categories like bug bounties, cryptocurrencies, or AWS-related artifacts. For automation and integration, pyWhat provides a CLI with options for rarity filtering, sorting, and JSON export, as well as an API that can be imported into other Python programs.

    pydantic

    pydantic

Data parsing and validation using Python type hints

Data validation and settings management using Python type hinting. Fast and extensible, pydantic plays nicely with your linters/IDE/brain. Define how data should be in pure, canonical Python 3.6+; validate it with pydantic. id is of type int; the annotation-only declaration tells pydantic that this field is required. Strings, bytes or floats will be coerced to ints if possible; otherwise an exception will be raised. name is inferred as a string from the provided default; because it has a default, it is not required. signup_ts is a datetime field which is not required (and takes the value None if it's not supplied). pydantic will process either a unix timestamp int (e.g. 1496498400) or a string representing the date & time. friends uses python's typing system, and requires a list of integers. As with id, integer-like objects will be converted to integers.

    q - Text as Data

    q - Text as Data

Run SQL directly on CSV or TSV files

q is a command line tool that allows direct execution of SQL-like queries on CSVs/TSVs (and any other tabular text files). q treats ordinary files as database tables, and supports all SQL constructs, such as WHERE, GROUP BY, JOINs etc. It supports automatic column name and column type detection, and provides full support for multiple encodings. q fully supports all types of encoding. Use -e data-encoding to set the input data encoding, -Q query-encoding to set the query encoding, and use -E output-encoding to set the output encoding. Sensible defaults are in place for all three parameters. Files with BOM: Files which contain a BOM (Byte Order Mark) are not properly supported inside python's csv module. q contains a workaround that allows reading UTF8 files which contain a BOM - Use -e utf-8-sig for this. The plan is to separate the BOM handling from the encoding itself, which would allow to support BOMs for all encodings.

    tldw Server

    tldw Server

    Your Personal Research Multi-Tool

tldw-server (mirror) is a mirrored distribution of an open-source backend service designed to store, process, and serve summarized information extracted from long pieces of content. The name “tldw” reflects the phrase “too long; didn’t watch,” which refers to tools that condense lengthy videos, articles, or documents into concise summaries. The server component typically acts as the core infrastructure that manages summaries, metadata, and retrieval operations for client applications or user interfaces. In practical deployments, a system like this can support AI-powered summarization pipelines that process transcripts, articles, or other long-form material and store condensed versions for easier consumption. The mirrored project hosted on SourceForge exists to preserve the availability of the code and provide an alternative download location for developers and researchers. Such servers are commonly integrated with AI models that generate summaries and tag content automatically.

C++ libraries for manipulations in non-Euclidean geometry

These are two C++ libraries for symbolic, numeric and graphical manipulations in non-Euclidean geometry. There is GUI which allows to interact with these libraries by mouse clicks. On a dipper level the first library Cycle implements basic operations on cycles (quadrics) through FSCc construction. The second library Figure operates on ensembles of cycles connected by Moebius-invariant relations, e.g. orthogonality. Both libraries are based on the Clifford algebra capacities of the GiNaC computer algebra system (http://ginac.de). Besides C++ libraries there is a Python wrapper, which can be used in interactive mode (https://codeocean.com/capsule/7952650/). Both libraries work in arbitrary dimensions and signatures of metric. Additionally, there are some 2D/3D-specific routines including a visualisation to PostScript files through Asymptote (http://asymptote.sourcefourge.net) software. The source is written in literate programming NoWeb.
