PEBL (Psychology Experiment Building Language) is a system designed for creating psychology and neuroscience experiments and tests. It is cross-platform, with the intention to run the same experiment, unchanged, on Linux, Windows, and Macintosh PCs.

This is a package for Structural Equation Modeling in development. It is written for extensibility, that is, you can easily define your own objective functions and other parts of the model. At the same time, it is (very) fast. We provide fast objective functions, gradients, and for some cases hessians as well as approximations thereof. As a user, you can easily define custom loss functions. For those, you can decide to provide analytical gradients or use finite difference approximation / automatic differentiation. You can choose to mix loss functions natively found in this package and those you provide. In such cases, you optimize over a sum of different objectives (e.g. ML + Ridge). This strategy also applies to gradients, where you may supply analytic gradients or opt for automatic differentiation or mixed analytical and automatic differentiation. You may consider using this package if you need extensibility and/or speed, and if you want to extend SEM.

Python and pygame cross platform program to exercise the brain with the intention of enhancing useful field of view, also known as speed of responsiveness. This yields benefits in driving, motility, and even depressive symptoms, as described in research papers of randomized, double blind trials. Whether ufov exercise the brain to yield those benefits is unknown, since there are no research studies using it. The research is conducted with a commercial product that I have not seen or used. I used the description of what useful field of view is supposed to do to create this program for experimental purposes. I notice personal changes from using the program, but that is only anecdotal evidence. I was especially struck by the research that found a significant decrease in dementia for those who used such a program to exercise their brain. Application written in C# to store references for papers, convert them to APA format and then retrieve them again later (if needed). Not a ground-breaking application by any means, but it does the job.

The cognitive flexibility (CF) puzzle is a task designed to measure people’s ability to effectively switch between different mental rule sets. The task is based off of existing measures of CF, the Trail Making Task and the Wisconsin Card Sorting Task and has been previously validated.
