    Starlark in Go

    Starlark in Go

Starlark in Go: the Starlark configuration language, implemented in Go

starlark-go is the official Go implementation of the Starlark programming language, a Python-like, dynamically typed configuration and scripting language originally developed for the Bazel build system. Starlark combines Python’s expressiveness and readability with deterministic execution, making it ideal for defining build configurations, scripting automation, and embedding domain-specific logic in applications. The Go-based interpreter allows developers to run or embed Starlark programs...

    PLT (Programming Languages Theory)

    PLT (Programming Languages Theory)

    Programming Language Theory

...It spans foundational topics like lambda calculus, type systems, interpreters, compilers, and formal semantics, while also pointing to contemporary areas such as effect systems, dependent types, and verification. Each section clusters materials by theme so learners can build understanding step by step instead of grazing at random. The list emphasizes primary sources and high-quality lectures, encouraging readers to engage with rigorous treatments rather than superficial summaries. It’s designed to serve both as a starting guide for newcomers and as a reference index for experienced practitioners, filling in gaps. By treating PL theory as an accessible, progressive curriculum, the repository lowers the barrier to serious study without diluting the subject.

    newRPL

    newRPL

The classic RPL programming language reimplemented and reimagined.

This project reimplements from scratch the RPL language made popular by HP programmable calculators, in portable C/C++. The main goal is to release a complete computing environment for various targets. There's currently 4 active targets: the HP 50g, HP39gs and HP40gs calculators and a PC simulator (see the downloads section!). Other ports are planned for the future.

    MANOOL

    MANOOL

Programming language with expressive power and a simple implementation

MANOOL is a practical, homoiconic, dynamic, multiparadigm general-purpose programming language with a functional core. It has high expressive power but is implemented in less than 10K LOC of optimized, idiomatic C++11 for native run-time environments. MANOOL is meant to compare and compete directly with Python, PHP, Ruby, Perl, and Tcl, although incidentally it has some combination of unusual features. Example: {{extern "manool.org.18/std/0.2/all"} in WriteLine[Out; "Hello, world!"]} ...

    SPL Compiler

A low-level system programming language with high-level syntax

A new system programming language designed to occupy the same niche C is currently holding, that allows for easier development of large platform-independent systems. The aims are to: * Keep all of C's system programming strengths. * Be as efficient as C (at run-time) and as high-level as possible for the programmer. * Promote modularity and ease the development of large-scale component-based software. * Enable programming-by-contract and other high-level features (as long as they incur no extraordinary costs at run-time). * Provide a stricter and more platform-independent type system than C. * Allow direct use of existing C and platform (e.g. ...

    MPL Bytecode Compiler

    MPL Bytecode Compiler

Micro Programming Language - A Portable Language for Micro Computers

...I have successfully compiled MPL for CP/M, DOS, Windows, Atari ST, Amiga and the Tandy Colour Computer. MPL is designed to be tiny in every way, while implementing all the important features of BCPL & B. The result is a compiler written in a high level language (PASCAL) which compiles to under 16K (CP/M). The symbol table, language syntax, and bytecode are all optimized for size. I will write a MPL Reference Manual in time. Contact myself if you want to help get that written.
