    plot.py

    plot.py

    direct data plotting and evaluation

The Plot.py project tries to supply a measurement data visualization and treatment framework being easy to use while keeping the freedom for advanced users to execute additional data treatment algorithms. Plotting is done via gnuplot and the script used to produce the graphs can be exported for later use/changes. Many raw experimental data types (mostly of x-ray and neutron scattering experiments) are supported with more to be added on user request. The data treatment includes non-linear fitting, integration and differentiation, peak-finder and more. ...

    stellarics

Inverse Compton emission from heliospheres of sun and stars

Cosmic ray electrons scatter on the photon fields around stars, including the sun, to create gamma rays by the inverse Compton effect. This program computes the spectrum and angular distribution of this emission. The software also includes general-purpose routines for inverse Compton scattering on a given electron spectrum, for example for interstellar or astrophysical source modelling. For further information see these publications: http://arxiv.org/abs/astro-ph/0607563,...

    SIMtoEXP

For comparison of simulation and experimental scattering data

...It also calculates volume probability distributions according to a space filling volumetric model. Written in C++ and Qt, SIMtoEXP has a very simple and easy to use GUI with interactive plotting. The software was originally developed by Norbert Kucerka. The code has been tested on OpenSUSE and Ubuntu (both binary and compilation); Windows and Mac are not officially supported, see the 'Notes' in the tar. PLEASE READ THE WIKI FOR THE MOST UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION - there have been major bug fixes recently.

    HOPSA
...Although written for this specific task it is easy to adopt for any experimental task which changes hardware parameters and waits for a specific condition before proceeding. The graphical interface (QT4) includes plotting (matplotlib), instrument configuration/monitoring and a program step creator. The communication with the hardware is independent of the GUI and any number of devices can be selected. To modify the code for any other task only the hardware interface needs to be redefined.
