MaxFem is an open software package for electromagnetic simulation by using finite element methods. The package can solve problems in electrostatics, direct current, magnetostatics and eddy-currents. Since version 0.4.0, MaxFEM requires Python 3. We have moved the installers to the MaxFEM website (see below). In order to improve MaxFEM, we will require you to fill out a simple form before downloading them.

YAFEMS (Yet Another Finite Element Method Solver) is a FEM solver for Linux and WIndows that reads a MED mesh file produced by Salome (http://www.salome-platform.org/) with certain groups created into the mesh, and with the help of an input text file (.yaf), performs a 3D or 2D plane stress or plane strain analysis and creates results in plain text format and in MED format.

Wavefront is a programme for simulating 2D acoustic systems, with a particular emphasis on determining wavefront shapes at the mouths of horns. It accepts CAD drawings in DXF format and produces animated displays of wave propagation as well as exporting various data as text files. It is GPL software and runns on Linux and Windows.
