SarBox helps user to parse or analyze sar data
The software program (SarBox) parses and analyzes SAR data in charts or text formats. SAR is cumulative activity counters in the operating system. It is the most comprehensive command which helps to monitor performance of various Linux / Solaris subsystems (CPU, Memory, I/O, Disk, Network, etc) all in same log. This makes it difficult to analyze since every counter data is dumped into the log file. SarBox helps to analyze this log file and present data in graphical charts or text format. To collect sar statistics from an environment, use below syntax [user@host ~]# sar -A 30 2 > sar_linux.log “30 2” reports for every 30 seconds and total of 2 times, written in sar_linux.log. -

TCPCopy
An online request replication tool, also a tcp stream replay tool
TCPCopy is a TCP stream replay tool to support real testing of Internet server applications. Although the real live flow is important for the test of Internet server applications, it is hard to simulate it as online environments are too complex. To support more realistic testing of Internet server applications, we develop a live flow reproduction tool - TCPCopy, which could generate the test workload that is similar to the production workload. Currently, TCPCopy has been widely used by companies in China. TCPCopy has little influence on the production system except occupying additional CPU, memory and bandwidth. Moreover, the reproduced workload is similar to the production workload in request diversity, network latency and resource occupation. TCPCopy consists of two parts, TCPCopy and intercept. While TCPCopyruns on the online server and captures the online requests, intercept runs on the assistant server and does some assistant work, such as passing response info to TCPCopy. -

Zombie.js is a lightweight framework for testing client-side JavaScript code in a simulated environment. No browser required. Zombie will work with other testing frameworks. Since Mocha supports promises. Just like your favorite Web browser, Zombie manages multiple open windows as tabs. New browsers start without any open tabs. As you visit the first page, Zombie will open a tab for it. All operations against the browser object operate on the currently active tab (window) and most of the time you only need to interact with that one tab. You can access it directly via browser.window. You can access all open tabs from browser.tabs. This property is an associative array, you can access each tab by its index number. -

cpuplot Command Line Profiler of CPU Usage and Load Average. Synopsis: BASH script that shows the history of CPU usage, and what procces uses the most CPU at a given time. Bar graphs represent the percentage of Total CPU Usage, and the percentage of Total 1 Minute Load Average. Default wait interval between system readings is 5secs. But a different one can be set in the command line with the "-i" argument. Default output is formatted for the standard console width of 80 columns, and will show only the bar chart for the CPU usage. A simple CLI tool for ensuring that a given script runs continuously (i.e. forever). Note that this project currently fully depends on the community for implementing fixes and new features. For new installations we encourage you to use pm2 or nodemon. If you are using forever programmatically you should install forever-monitor. There are two ways to use forever: through the command line or by using forever in your code. Note: If you are using forever programatically you should install forever-monitor. You can use forever to run scripts continuously (whether it is written in node.js or not). In addition to passing forever the path to a script (along with accompanying options, described above), you may also pass forever the path to a JSON file containing these options. The forever module exposes some useful methods to use in your code. Each method returns an instance of an EventEmitter which emits when complete. -

A fluent language to write perftences
Performance test engine written in Java and exposed as a fluent API for writing JUnit tests. Perftence can also be used without JUnit by using perftence-api distribution package. Full test results are provided in html, which can published directly with different CI's (e.g. Jenkins/Hudson). Runtime test statistics are also provided through logging (e.g. using slf4j-log4j and log4j). Pertence tool can also be used for finding out threading issues. Just write a test that uses the component you need to test for threading issues and assign load of threads to the test. Thanks to my employer (Nokia) for letting me publish the initial version of this tool as open-source! -

Headless Chromium-based modular web performance metrics collector. Modular approach, each metric is generated by a separate "module". phantomas "core" acts as an events emitter that each module can hook into. In-depth metrics such as: number of events bound via jQuery, calls to window.writeor complex and duplicated CSS selectors (via analyze-css). JSON as an output format. Easy integration with other nodejs projects via CommonJS module (see API docs). Metrics can be emitted from the JavaScript code of the page phantomas is run against (thanks to helper functions available in window.__phantomas). Device profiles allow phantomas to emulate mobile or tablet (by setting a proper user agent and viewport). phantomas comes as a CommonJS module that you can use in your nodejs projects. Use grunt to automate daily dev tasks, including your's application web performance.
