    ravynOS

    ravynOS

A BSD-based OS project that aims to provide an experience with MacOS

...We recommend running in a virtual machine, although it should work on any hardware supported by FreeBSD-CURRENT (14.0) with at least 2GB (8GB recommended) RAM. PLEASE NOTE: On 2022-02-14, we decided to abandon the current path of using X11/KDE desktop components and write from scratch a new UI that will align better with our goals. This stepping back will slow the project but ultimately should result in a better outcome. We intend to bring many of the features you’ve come to love from macOS to ravynOS like clean design, global menus, and drag-and-drop installs. ...

    Cloudium OS

    Cloudium OS

Written in pure ASM and Exode with cloud computing in mind.

...Well every os wants/says these kind of things, so to accomplish our goals we follow these simple rules: keep it simple (that's way better then these complex interfaces etc. almost nobody wants), generalize (this makes things easier and more useful without extra complexity) and be inventive (sometimes doing it the classical way just doesn't work). Note: development peace will be temporarily lowered until February the fifth. Please check out our OS and Project site!

    SuperKernel
Note: the project is basically dead, as I started rewriting it but I don't have much free time to work on it. It's basically a micro-kernel, but on top of that, instead of having multiple servers running as standalone processes, it has a modular kernel, so that each server is a module of this kernel. The micro-kernel contains only the scheduler, memory management and drivers for high-speed devices (like gigabit ethernet NICs or video cards).

NOTE: This page and the babyos code are no longer being actively maintained. (Sorry, just no time; I have to focus on other things.) BabyOS is a simple in-memory operating system kernel for educational purposes, far from a full-fledged system. For a deta
