AO-RTOS is a pure object-oriented small footprint real-time operating system for embedded devices. The project is using Active Object (or Actor) concurrency model and finite state machine (FSM) design template as implementation base.

This project reimplements from scratch the RPL language made popular by HP programmable calculators, in portable C/C++. The main goal is to release a complete computing environment for various targets. There's currently 4 active targets: the HP 50g, HP39gs and HP40gs calculators and a PC simulator (see the downloads section!). Other ports are planned for the future.

AvRtos is a small, preemtive, priority based real time operating system for Atmel AVR and ARM microcontrollers. It was written in C. AvRtos provides message queues and semaphores for task synchronization. It uses a static memory allocation scheme. AvRtos is nearly the smallest RTOS out there. Even pico]OS is much bigger. AvRtos can be compiled using gcc compiler. There is a AvrStudio 4 and Eclipse project file to get the example code working very quickly.

"µOS++" (micro OS plus plus) is an open source, royalty-free, real-time operating system intended for embedded systems built around ARM Cortex M or AVR devices. It is based on a preemptive scheduler written in C++ (more info in the Wiki).

This is a small library that allows comunicating with a Webasto (tm) W-Bus capable car heating system. Runs on Personal Computers or for embedded devices (slim design). Easily portable. Includes a Heater manager, heater controller program and more. Prex is a portable real-time operating system for embedded systems. The small, reliable and low power kernel is written in C language based on micro kernel design. File system, UNIX process and networking features are provided by user mode tasks.

Ivmuk-OS is small RTOS for microcontrollers with low resources. Microchip's PIC16F877A MCU uses about 70 bytes of RAM and 800 bytes Flash. Memory usage depends on number of tasks and messages defined. This should create competition to Salvo OS some day.

UEFI GPT fdisk is a port to UEFI of the famous GPT fdisk partitioning tool, see http://sourceforge.net/projects/gptfdisk/ . Now since this program runs directly under UEFI shell you don't need to *boot* the system to convert/edit partition tables.

amforth is an extendable command interpreter running on AVR ATmega and TI MSP430 microcontrollers. The Risc-V and ARM architectures are ascending. Turnkey actions for IoT workloads are possible as well. The command language is close to the Forth 2012 standard.
