    Ethr

    Ethr

Ethr is a comprehensive network measurement tool for TCP, UDP & ICMP

Ethr is a cross-platform network performance measurement tool written in golang. The goal of this project is to provide a native tool for comprehensive network performance measurements of bandwidth, connections/s, packets/s, latency, loss & jitter, across multiple protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, and across multiple platforms such as Windows, Linux and other Unix systems. Ethr takes inspiration from existing open-source network performance tools and builds upon those ideas. For Bandwidth measurement, it is similar to iPerf3, for TCP & UDP traffic. iPerf3 has many more options for doing such as throttled testing, richer feature set, while Ethr has support for multiple threads, which allows it to scale to 1024 or even higher number of connections, multiple clients communication to a single server etc. For latency measurements, it is similar to latte on Windows or sockperf on Linux.

    FancySS

    FancySS

fancyss is a project for bypassing the Great Firewall (GFW)

Fancyss is a “scientific Internet access / bypassing censorship” toolkit targeted principally to Asus routers running AsusWRT or Merlin-based firmware. The project provides a plugin suite (with “software center” integration) so that home routers can run proxy or tunneling tools (e.g. V2Ray) to circumvent firewall or censorship (“GFW” in the Chinese context). Because it integrates into the router’s firmware environment, fancyss automates configuration, routing, and firewall rules to minimize manual tinkering. It supports multiple architectures and firmware versions, though some submodules or variants (e.g. “fancyss_hnd”) are optimized for specific chipsets. The project also maintains offline packages for constrained environments and hardware support lists. Many users adopt fancyss to turn relatively cheap consumer routers into censorship-resilient gateways, avoiding separate proxy appliances.

Environment to experiment the system on simulated and real networks

    - Live Raizo is a linux distribution based on Debian 13 (Trixie) to experiment the system administration on simulated networks and real devices. - GNS3 is the gui used to manipulate the simulators/emulators of networks and systems like QEmu, Docker, Dynamips. - With this GNS3, you can clone as many times as you want the templates of virtual linux machines named "Debian" and "DDebian" that contain many network tools and services. - The prompt and the output of several linux commands are colored to highlight the main informations and to be more userfriendly. - Live Raizo also includes tools to interact with real devices : minicom, putty, Wireshark, as well as DHCP, DNS, FTP, TFTP, HTTP and SSH servers. Services are not started automatically. - It is used by the CFA UTEC of CCI in Seine et Marne in France for networking and Linux administration classes. - You can also open issues here : https://github.com/Raizo62/LiveRaizo Last 64 bits Release : v17.26.09.06i

    CoreDNS

    CoreDNS

CoreDNS is a DNS server that chains plugins

CoreDNS is a DNS server/forwarder, written in Go, that chains plugins. Each plugin performs a (DNS) function. CoreDNS is a Cloud Native Computing Foundation graduated project. CoreDNS is a fast and flexible DNS server. The key word here is flexible: with CoreDNS you are able to do what you want with your DNS data by utilizing plugins. If some functionality is not provided out of the box you can add it by writing a plugin. CoreDNS can listen for DNS requests coming in over UDP/TCP (go'old DNS), TLS (RFC 7858), also called DoT, DNS over HTTP/2 - DoH - (RFC 8484) and gRPC (not a standard). Serve zone data from a file; both DNSSEC (NSEC only) and DNS are supported (file and auto). Retrieve zone data from primaries, i.e., act as a secondary server (AXFR only) (secondary). Sign zone data on-the-fly (dnssec). Load balancing of responses (loadbalance). Allow for zone transfers, i.e., act as a primary server (file + transfer). Automatically load zone files from disk (auto).

    CrowdSec

    CrowdSec

Firewall able to analyze visitor behavior & provide adapted response

CrowdSec - an open-source massively multiplayer firewall able to analyze visitor behavior & provide an adapted response to all kinds of attacks. It also leverages the crowd power to generate a global IP reputation database to protect the user network. Crowdsec shouldn't, and didn't crash any production so far we know, but some features might be missing or undergo evolutions. IP Blocklists are limited to very-safe-to-ban IPs only (~5% of the global database so far, will grow soon). A modern behavior detection system, written in Go. It stacks on Fail2ban's philosophy, but uses Grok patterns & YAML grammar to analyse logs, a modern decoupled approach (detect here, remedy there) for Cloud/Containers/VM based infrastructures. Once detected you can remedy threats with various bouncers (block, 403, Captchas, etc.) and blocked IPs are shared among all users to further improve their security. Crowdsec is an open-source, lightweight software, detecting peers with aggressive behaviors.

    Dracnmap

    Dracnmap

Exploit the network and gathering information with nmap help

Dracnmap is a Bash-based interface that organizes Nmap capabilities into guided menus for authorized network security assessment. It was created to make Nmap’s large collection of options and scripting features easier for less experienced users to navigate. The tool groups common scanning, information-gathering, enumeration, and Nmap Scripting Engine tasks behind interactive prompts. It can generate scan results in formats such as XML, HTML, normal text, and grep-friendly output. The project targets Linux security distributions and requires Nmap along with a graphical terminal environment. Its scripts expose both routine discovery functions and more intrusive security-testing modules. Because some options can affect remote systems or authentication services, it should only be used on networks and hosts the tester is authorized to assess.

    SafeLine

    SafeLine

Serve as a reverse proxy to protect your web services from attacks

SafeLine is a self-hosted WAF(Web Application Firewall) to protect your web apps from attacks and exploits. A web application firewall helps protect web apps by filtering and monitoring HTTP traffic between a web application and the Internet. It typically protects web apps from attacks such as SQL injection, XSS, code injection, os command injection, CRLF injection, LDAP injection, XPath injection, RCE, XXE, SSRF, path traversal, backdoor, brute force, HTTP-flood, bot abuse, among others. By deploying a WAF in front of a web application, a shield is placed between the web application and the Internet. While a proxy server protects a client machine’s identity by using an intermediary, a WAF is a type of reverse-proxy, protecting the server from exposure by having clients pass through the WAF before reaching the server. A WAF protects your web apps by filtering, monitoring, and blocking any malicious HTTP/S traffic traveling to the web application.
