LLMNR responder daemon for IPv6 networks
This project produces a LLMNR responder daemon named xllmnrd in order to improve interoperability between POSIX‐based operating systems and Microsoft Windows in a small or home network environment. xllmnrd is an independent LLMNR responder daemon (a.k.a. llmnrd) for IPv6 networks and currently supports GNU/Linux operating systems with plans to support others. It allows Microsoft Windows clients to get the IPv6 addresses of a server on the same local network without any DNS configuration and can supplement IPv4‐only NetBIOS name resolution provided mainly by Samba. -

DSLstats
A program for monitoring a DSL connection
The purpose of this program is to monitor the state of an ADSL or VDSL2 connection. It works with DSL routers using Broadcom chipsets, which have a fully functional telnet interface with access to the Broadcom CLI. It also supports some Thomson/Technicolor routers via their custom CLI, but some of the features of the program are not available for these models. All of the data is obtained from the CLI via telnet. Data is displayed in graphical form, and also can be seen in raw telnet CLI format. -

WhoisUP v0.3 monitors hosts via ICMP and shows the status in a web page. When a host is down, the script can send mail, syslog message, open a popup message or play a sound. Moreover, the script monitors if the host exceed the latency threshold limit. The script uses NMap to send ICMP packets and to save the host status into an XML file.
