High performance ping tool
...There was no official fping release from 2002 until end of 2011. Various patches existed, but were never integrated "upstream". Also, the official maintainer didn't answer emails, so I decided to just step up and take over maintenanceship.To mark this change of maintenance, and avoid confusion, I decided to call it version 3. Besides a new maintainer, fping now also features a completely rewritten main loop implementation which improves performance significantly. The run time is now close to the theoretical time required to send and receive the pings under the specified parameters. -

NOTE: This was my first coding project. By design it is a potential SECURITY RISK. Now I know better, so I abandoned this project. -

...The main feature, the deauthentication attack, is used to disconnect devices from their WiFi network. No one seems to care about this huge vulnerability in the official 802.11 WiFi standard, so I took action and enabled everyone who has less than 10 USD to spare to recreate this project. I hope it raises more attention on the issue. In 2009 the WiFi Alliance actually fixed the problem (see 802.11w), but only a few companies implemented it into their devices and software. -

OverServer
Simple meta-server for locating other multiplayer servers
...One particular strength of the player-hosted games setup is that it places the burden of Internet traffic on the player base and not a central server. OverServer tries not to violate this strength by keeping the query and response length very low to cut down on overhead from running the metaserver. I designed OverServer with a few lessons in mind from Valve and Won's metaserver setup for Half-life. It is at least somewhat resistant to attack through a challenge-response system for incoming requests. I also wanted the tool to be very simple to "snap in" to an existing application. -

taprouter is a tool that makes it possible to use SLIRP connectivity over a virtual L2 TAP interface. It allows you to get internet connectivity from within any TAP interface. The main use case is to provide networking to virtual machines or alike (I specifically wrote taprouter to make networking in DOSemu much easier, but it might have other interesting usage, too). taprouter comes with its library companion - librouter, that provides the api for usermode networking (and could as well be reused in other opensource projects). -

I'm a HW Support and used cacti, zabbix, but they are too "strong", sometimes I just want to know server "worked fine", and show me a basicly load-average chart, that's enough. And the other hand, I need run command (like: "top", "iostat", "date" etc.) remotely and show it out to the webpage. The hwmonitor(writen in C) is a simple daemon, you can define some command-name(like: show_top= top -b -n1), telnet to this daemon and input your def-command(like: show_top), hwmonitor will return the info. ... -

...It sniffs packets and rewrites them to a second interface, essentially acting as a soft tap. It can also do this in daemon mode. These two runtime modes are mutually exclusive, if the program is placed in tap mode (using the -I switch) then logging to disk is disabled. A few years ago (ok a LOT) I had written a VERY simple network monitoring system for work. It primarily gathers syslog events, and does a basic TCP connect to check on machine state. This uses MSDE as it's engine for events.
