Digital photos from camera and mobile phones all have filenames. I want my photos in standard directories and subdirectories and have standard names. This program makes it easy: Take a bunch of photos put them in directories, where main directory is yyyy and subdirectorys mm/dd rename photos to i yymmdd_hhmmss Command line example: >photexo.py copy magic indir outdir copy: copy files. magic: use exif to detec camera model. indir: a directory with digital photos. outdir: the directory where we want our structured result. The program has some flexibility: depending on the camera it can use the file name or the exif date time. There are other command variations, please see the readme.

Photobooth is a currently a windows based python program to run a photo booth. The software uses the Canon remote capture DC software to capture images then crops and resizes them to paste into a picture strip. The completed strip is then printed.

Photodote is a client to Danga Interactive's Fotobilder software, written in Python with PyGTK. It supports drag-and-drop to interface with other photo library software and implements the Fotobilder protocol in its entirety.

A modern, web-based photo management server. Run it on your home server and it will let you find the right photo from your collection on any device. Smart filtering is made possible by object recognition, face recognition, location awareness, color analysis and other ML algorithms. This project is currently in development and not feature complete for a version 1.0 yet. If you don't mind putting up with broken parts or want to help out, run the Docker image and give it a go. I'd love for other contributors to get involved. You can move some photos into the folder data/photos and they should get detected and imported immediately. Once you have finished trying out the system you can edit the volume in the docker-compose.yml file where it says ./data/photos to mount wherever you usually keep photos. System database, thumbnails and other cache data is stored separately from the photos so shouldn't pollute the area. You are responsible for keeping your own backups in case of error.

This collection of scripts allow you to export to a html gallery from photoshop album or elements. A combination of Perl, Python, XML and XSLT are used to create the gallery. A working version can be seen at halfviking.com.
