MP3Gain analyzes and losslessly adjusts mp3 files to a specified target volume. It does not simply do peak amplitude normalization. Instead, it performs statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear.

libTiMidity is a MIDI to WAVE converter library that uses Gravis Ultrasound-compatible patch files to generate digital audio data from General MIDI files. This library based on the TiMidity decoder from SDL_sound library.

The process works as a real-time 2-band feedback sidechain compressor having threshold and knee optimized to match the best as possible to the full scale range. The "feedback speed" (attack), the "recovery speed" (release) as well as the maximum gain limit can be adjusted by the user. ANSiMat is a graphical viewer of ANSI art files. It can also be used to convert ANSI (or plain ASCII) files into regular (BMP, TGA, PCX...) graphic files, or into animations (FLC). Altough not initially designed for this, ANSiMat can be successfully used as an ASCII art viewer, or even simple text files viewer. ANSiMat is available for Linux, Windows and DOS. ANSiMat supports also modem emulation speed, therefore it can be used to display ANSI animations.
