libjpeg-turbo is a JPEG image codec that uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE2, NEON, AltiVec) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression on x86, x86-64, ARM, and PowerPC systems. FractalNow provides users with tools to generate pictures of various types of fractals quickly and easily. It is made of both a command line tool, FractalNow, and a graphical tool, QFractalNow. The graphical tool, based on Qt library, allows users to explore fractals intuitively and generate pictures. Both tools are entirely multi-threaded and implement advanced algorithms and heuristics that make computation very fast compared to most existing free fractal generators.

The grabber is optimised for smooth operation with MythTV, however it produces XMLTV compliant output for use by any application. This grabber is designed to optimally implement HTTP caching to minimise network traffic and loading on the oztivo servers. A side benefit is that it is extremely fast to perform updates.
