High quality, one-dimensional sample-rate conversion library
The SoX Resampler library `libsoxr' performs one-dimensional sample-rate conversion—it may be used, for example, to resample PCM-encoded audio. It aims to give fast and high quality results for any constant (rational or irrational) resampling ratio. Phase-response, preserved bandwidth, aliasing, and rejection level parameters are all configurable; alternatively, simple `preset' configurations may be selected. An experimental, variable-rate resampling mode of operation is also included. -

The programs are made as an alternative to image organisers, for people who find image organisers too bloated, who don't need all the features and/or are confused by the complicated UI, or for users who don't want programs to snatch and organise everything for them which they prefer to organise themselves. -

FSM is a tool designed to bridge the gap between ImageMagick & paperjs
ImageMagick and browser-based tools such as paperjs use very different engines for font rendering. This makes it difficult to reproduce accurately effects, for example, in video projects where the placement of text, sub-images, etc needs to be tested before production. While paperjs will render a scene in a browser context, it cannot be used in production, where ImageMagick is necessary. FSM allows for the classification of usable fonts for both these interfaces, accurate measurement of font dimensions such as descender, bearing, and extended bearing, and the means for translating between the differing font description systems used. ... -

JavaScript helpers for rendering high-resolution image variants
...You can prepare images for as many levels of pixel density as you want and let retina.js dynamically serve the right image to the user. retina.js assumes you are using Apple's prescribed high-resolution modifiers (@2x, @3x, etc) to denote high-res image variants on your server. It also assumes that if you have prepared a variant for a given high-res environment, that you have also prepared variants for each environment below it. For example, if you have prepared 3x variants, retina.js will assume that you have also prepared 2x variants. If the environment does have 3x capabilities, retina.js will serve up the 3x image. It will expect that url to be /images/my_image@3x.png. If the environment has the ability to display images at higher densities than 3x, retina.js will serve up the image of the highest resolution that you've provided, in this case 3x. -

This project is based on pygame which has the power to simplify graphical output in some cases. Additionally it includes methods for user input, some collision detection, sound and file access supporting ominous structures. However this project is very limited and has more or less just been an educating experience for myself. Thanks

livemix
A tool for automated downmixing of live multitrack sound recordings
...Intended use is to quickly generate mp3 previews of live multitrack music recordings (such as rehearsals or live performances), created by some sound recording software (Avid ProTools or Audacity for example). Livemix uses SoX sound processing utity to do all the work with tracks preprocessing and mixing, and LAME mp3 encoder to produce final mp3 file. Therefore, livemix needs sox and lame executables to be in search path or in the same dir as livemix executable.
