    dear jvm imgui

    dear jvm imgui

Bloat-free Immediate Mode Graphical User interface for JVM

kotlin-graphics/imgui is a Kotlin port and wrapper of the Dear ImGui immediate-mode graphical user interface, designed to integrate seamlessly with JVM-based OpenGL applications. It brings the powerful, real-time GUI-building capabilities of ImGui to Kotlin developers, allowing rapid development of tools, in-app editors, and visual debuggers with a highly intuitive syntax. The project closely mirrors the original C++ ImGui API, while adding idiomatic Kotlin features and bindings for libraries such as LWJGL. It’s particularly useful for Kotlin game engine developers or OpenGL-based tooling projects on the JVM.

    deej

    deej

Set app volumes with real sliders! Arduino project to build hardware

deej is an open-source hardware volume mixer for Windows and Linux PCs. It lets you use real-life sliders (like a DJ!) to seamlessly control the volumes of different apps (such as your music player, the game you're playing and your voice chat session) without having to stop what you're doing. Control your microphone's input level. Lightweight desktop client, consuming around 10MB of memory. Runs from your system tray. Helpful notifications to let you know if something isn't working. The sliders are connected to 5 (or as many as you like) analog pins on an Arduino Nano/Uno board. They're powered from the board's 5V output (see schematic). The board connects via a USB cable to the PC. The code running on the Arduino board is a C program constantly writing current slider values over its serial interface. The PC runs a lightweight Go client in the background. This client reads the serial stream and adjusts app volumes according to the given configuration file.

    ffmpeg.js

    ffmpeg.js

    Port of FFmpeg with Emscripten

ffmpeg.js is a JavaScript port of the FFmpeg multimedia framework compiled with Emscripten, enabling video and audio processing directly within browsers or Node.js environments. It provides prebuilt modules optimized for web use, balancing performance and file size while supporting common encoding and decoding tasks. By running entirely in JavaScript through asm.js, it allows developers to manipulate media files without requiring native binaries or server-side processing. The library supports different builds tailored for formats like WebM and MP4, including worker-based versions for improved performance in web applications. It exposes a programmatic API that mirrors FFmpeg command-line behavior, allowing developers to pass arguments and handle input and output streams in memory. This makes it especially useful for browser-based editors, converters, and multimedia tools. Overall, ffmpeg.js brings powerful media processing capabilities to client-side environments with minimal setup.

    gltf

    gltf

A crate for loading glTF 2.0

gltf-rs is a Rust library for parsing and loading glTF 2.0 assets, the efficient and widely adopted format for 3D models and scenes. It provides a safe, idiomatic Rust interface to handle glTF files, supporting both JSON and binary (.glb) formats. The library allows developers to access geometry, materials, animations, and node hierarchies with ease, and is often used as a building block for game engines, renderers, and 3D tools written in Rust. With support for zero-copy data access and efficient iteration, it’s optimized for performance-critical applications.

    imagemin

    imagemin

    Minify images seamlessly

With imagemin, you can minify images seamlessly. Uncompressed images bloat your pages with unnecessary bytes. Imagemin is an excellent choice for image compression because it supports a wide variety of image formats and is easily integrated with build scripts and build tools. Imagemin is available as both a CLI and an npm module. Generally, the npm module is the best choice because it offers more configuration options, but the CLI can be a decent alternative if you want to try Imagemin without touching any code. Imagemin is built around "plugins." A plugin is an npm package that compresses a particular image format (e.g. "mozjpeg" compresses JPEGs). Popular image formats may have multiple plugins to pick from.

Build animated charts in Jupyter Notebook and similar environments

ipyvizzu - Build animated charts in Jupyter Notebook and similar environments with a simple Python syntax ipyvizzu is an animated charting tool for Jupyter, Google Colab, Databricks, Kaggle and Deepnote notebooks among other platforms. ipyvizzu enables data scientists and analysts to utilize animation for storytelling with data using Python. It's built on the open-source JavaScript/C++ charting library Vizzu. There is a new extension of ipyvizzu, ipyvizzu-story with which the animated charts can be presented right from the notebooks. Since ipyvizzu-story's syntax is a bit different to ipyvizzu's, we suggest you to start from the ipyvizzu-story repo if you're interested in using animated charts to present your findings live or to share your presentation as an HTML file.

    pyntcloud

    pyntcloud

pyntcloud is a Python library for working with 3D point clouds

This page will introduce the general concept of point clouds and illustrate the capabilities of pyntcloud as a point cloud processing tool. Point clouds are one of the most relevant entities for representing three dimensional data these days, along with polygonal meshes (which are just a special case of point clouds with connectivity graph attached). In its simplest form, a point cloud is a set of points in a cartesian coordinate system. Accurate 3D point clouds can nowadays be (easily and cheaply) acquired from different sources. pyntcloud enables simple and interactive exploration of point cloud data, regardless of which sensor was used to generate it or what the use case is. Although it was built for being used on Jupyter Notebooks, the library is suitable for other kinds of uses. pyntcloud is composed of several modules (as independent as possible) that englobe common point cloud processing operations.

    react-rewards

    react-rewards

A package containing a few micro-interactions you can use

A package containing a few micro-interactions you can use to reward your users for little things and make them smile! React-rewards lets you add micro-interactions to your app, and rewards users with the rain of confetti, emoji or balloons in seconds. Firing confetti all over the page may seem like a questionable idea, but keep in mind that rewarding users for their actions is not. If a huge cloud of smiling emoji doesn't fit your application well, try changing the physics config to make it more subtle. In order to use the rewards, you'll need to provide an element that will become the origin of the animation. This element needs to have an ID that matches the one used inside the hook - it can be anywhere in the DOM as long as the IDs match. You can place the element inside a button, center it and shoot up from the button. You can place it on top of the viewport with position: "fixed" and change the angle to 270, to shoot downwards. Try, experiment, have fun!

    word_cloud

A little word cloud generator in Python

A little word cloud generator in Python. The code is tested against Python 2.7, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7. If you are using conda, you can install from the conda-forge channel. wordcloud depends on numpy and pillow. To save the wordcloud into a file, matplotlib can also be installed. If there are no wheels available for your version of python, installing the package requires having a C compiler set up. Before installing a compiler, report an issue describing the version of python and operating system being used. The wordcloud_cli tool can be used to generate word clouds directly from the command-line. If you're dealing with PDF files, then pdftotext, included by default with many Linux distribution, comes in handy. Use wordcloud_cli --help so see all available options. The wordcloud library is MIT licenced, but contains DroidSansMono.ttf, a true type font by Google, that is apache licensed.
