Arianne is a multiplayer online engine to develop turn based and real time games, providing a simple way of creating the game server rules and clients like our MORPG Stendhal. Our engine Marauroa uses Java and SQL for hosting hundreds of players on a solo host. Stendhal is a fun friendly and free multiplayer online adventure game with a huge and rich world. With hundreds of NPCs and different quests, features like the Travel log and achievement system keep track of progress. Thousands of creatures are ready to fight, above and below ground, and as players level up they can compare themselves on a detailed stats website. The engine Marauroa provides a simple way of creating games on a portable and robust server architecture. Marauroa manages the client server communication and provides an object orientated view of the world for game developers. It handles database access in a transparent way to store player accounts, character progress and the state of the world

Crossfire is a free and open-source cooperative multiplayer graphical RPG and adventure game. Set in a medieval fantasy world, it combines real-time action with traditional role-playing mechanics inspired by games such as Gauntlet, NetHack, Moria, and Angband. Players can choose from 14 races and 16 character classes, develop skills and magic, worship gods, complete quests, discover powerful artifacts, and explore thousands of interconnected maps filled with monsters, dungeons, cities, and adventures. Crossfire has been continuously developed since 1992 and remains an actively maintained community project.

A tool for Spellcrafters and their customers playing Mythic Entertainment's MMPORG, Dark Age of Camelot

FreeMUD is a free text-based MUD game server designed from the ground up using Python 3. A minimum of Python 3.3 is required to run this program due to its use of the new python socket method "detach()" and bugfixes to the detach() method that were implemented as of Python version 3.3. Note: The project is currently in a semi-barebones, alpha-ish state. A number of planned features are not yet implemented, while others are in the process of being implemented and may not yet be complete.

Moebius is a mud server, written in python using (currently) MySQL as a back-end. It's design goals are to be extensible without taking the engine down, to be distributable via the database, and to allow a complete python coding/learning env online. It

Moloch is a Multi User Dungeon game, written in C++ and scripted in Lua. It will support multi-server distribution and web-based account administration. We are also going to write an user interface for win32, gtk+ and ncurses.

Spells and Stuff is a Python based web roleplaying system, that allows a DM(Dungeon Master) to create potentially unlimited graphical worlds and will allow multiple players to graphically explore them via a standard web browser.

BetterMUD, a public domain C++/Python-based MUD designed in the book -MUD Game Programming-

This game is an MMORPG in various UNIX scripting languages, with a graphical shell accessed by SSH for the client. It will support Linux, Windows, and MacOS X. It is meant to be immersive and allows in-game coding.

This project is a modular and generally useful 3d game engine with integrated physics calculations and expandability. Expansion includes loading mod files dynamically, maps, and storyline components.
