uHex is a simple and fast, multiplatform hex editor. It's primarily written for DOS, but compiles on POSIX just as well. uHex has been written with care to work fast even on an 8086 CPU, providing support for large files (up to 2 GiB) while using minimal amounts of memory. "uHex" stands for "micro Hex" (it should actually be spelled µHex, but DOS operating systems do not allow non-ASCII symbols in filenames, thus the official name became just "uHex"). uHex supports several video text modes (80x25, 80x43, 80x50.. and any other, as long as it has at least 80 columns), both in color and black & white modes. Hardware requirements (DOS version) uHex has very low requirements. It runs on anything that provides: - an 8086/8088 compatible CPU, - a MS-DOS 2.0 compatible operating system, - ca. 20K of free conventional memory, - an 80 columns video mode.

FMail is an opensource echo mail processor/tosser for Hudson and JAM message bases, released under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 3. Also included is a message base maintenance utility with a lot of special features. The Windows version can handle more areas than the old DOS version and is optimized for use with 32 & 64-bit versions of MS Windows. But there is also a preliminary Linux version available.

gema is a general purpose text processing utility based on the concept of pattern matching. It reads an input file and copies it to an output file transforming the data as specified by the patterns defined by the user. See the "Wiki" tab for further information.

This is the source code for the 1994 DOS shareware game God of Thunder (Turbo C/Assembler). It is a good example of how not to code in C. I was once told it was impressive that it actually worked, so that's something. This is only the main source code here. I have released it to the public domain. Do whatever you want with it. It will not compile as-is. There is at least 1 3rd party compression file missing and the sound/music code was a licensed library that is not open source. The opening/high score/game select screens are also not included. The game itself can be found for free on Steam. The graphics of the game are not open source and may not be used in any commercial projects. The music and sound effects are public domain but I would appreciate credit to "Roy Davis" if you use any of the music. He was my father and he passed away in 2011. The music and other stuff is in GOTstuff.zip. Sorry, but I cannot offer any support.

AdPlug is a cross-platform OPL2 audio player library. AdPlug plays music, originally composed for the AdLib (OPL2) audio board, on top of an OPL2 emulator or by using the real hardware. There are multiple player software interfaces available.

Audio Compressor (command line) - Utility to be used for audio (dynamic) compression of WAV files. The process works as a real-time 2-band feedback sidechain compressor having threshold and knee optimized to match the best as possible to the full scale range. The "feedback speed" (attack), the "recovery speed" (release) as well as the maximum gain limit can be adjusted by the user. This compressor was designed to give a "FM style" output, making it suitable to prepare music tracks for listening in noisy environments (vehicles) or to modulate a LPFM transmitter.

basE91 is an advanced method for encoding binary data as ASCII characters. It is similar to UUencode or base64, but is more efficient. The overhead produced by basE91 depends on the input data. It amounts at most to 23% and can range down to 14%.
