Midimusic provides archives of Wurlitzer and Estey music rolls in e-roll format. These are downloadable and the music can be played using eplayOrgan. An archive of Miditzer organ midi files is also provided. All features of the original e-rolls and midis are available including stops and swell. eplayOrgan is a fully featured organ which can also be played from a full midified console or standard midi keyboards. Stops may be set using a touch screen. eplayOrgan operates under Windows. Mac and Linux are supported under Wine. The programs work just the same under Wine on Mac and Linux as they do under Windows.

The program has various modes of viewing the contents of the midi file. The program allows you to search for midi files having certain characteristic on your hard drive (eg. tempo exceeds 200 bpm and number of pitchbends greater than 100).

This app helps you to play and improvise chords whilst a MIDI file or audio source is being played. It does this by updating a rolling display to map the chord notes to a piano keyboard. It can also dynamically assign notes or chords to keys on a MIDI or PC keyboard. Synchronisation is achieved automatically from a MIDI file. An audio file (e.g. MP3) can be synchronised and saved using the program. Chords and major/minor keys can be extracted from the MIDI file using a configurable tool that analyses the MIDI file. Chords, keys, and time signatures can also be created or updated manually - this allows you to play along with an audio source without requiring a MIDI file. The program contains a sequencer-style display that can be used to control the volume, panning, muting, solo'ing and patching of the tracks of the MIDI file. Audio can be rendered with the program's builtin synthesizer (using SoundFonts), or an external synthesizer.

Jazz++ is a full featured, audio capable, cross-platform MIDI sequencer. Jazz++ offers a lot of functions normally only found in expensive sequencer software, and is used by professionals and hobby musicians all over the world.

Drumstick is a tool to play music. This is a set of C++ MIDI libraries using Qt5 objects, idioms and style. It contains a C++ wrapper around the ALSA library sequencer interface; ALSA sequencer provides software support for MIDI technology on Linux. A complementary library provides classes for SMF (Standard MIDI files: .MID/.KAR), and Cakewalk (.WRK) file formats processing. A multiplatform realtime MIDI I/O library is also provided.

libTiMidity is a MIDI to WAVE converter library that uses Gravis Ultrasound-compatible patch files to generate digital audio data from General MIDI files. This library based on the TiMidity decoder from SDL_sound library.

Pineapple MIDI Player is a simple SoundFont MIDI player, designed to play simple MIDI file together with SoundFont file, especially MIDI files extracted by tools like VGMTrans. This tool will attempt to load the SoundFont with the same file name as the MIDI file by default, and support change SoundFont on-the-fly when dropping a SF2 file onto the main window.

abcmidi contains a collection of command line utilities for working with abc music notation files. abc2midi converts an abc file into a midi file. abc2abc transposes the contents of an abc file to another key. midi2abc converts a midi file into an abc file. yaps renders the contents of an abc file into common music notation and records it into a PostScript file. mftext presents a textual representation of a midi file. midicopy changes the contents of a midi file and records it in a new midi file. abcmatch searches a database of abc files for certain musical patterns.

Gmorgan is a midi processor. It can be voiced using Linux synths, midi connected equipment, or a soundcard. If you have tried it before, be sure to go to Settings->global, renew the file paths to the current gmorgan directory, and save them. Jack-smf-utils is a set of two utilities - jack-smf-player and jack-smf-recorder - whose purpose is to play and record MIDI streams from/to Standard MIDI Files (i.e. the files with .mid extension) using JACK MIDI. It uses libsmf as a backend.

This project is to create an updated version of abc2midi, a tool to generate MIDI files from abc music notation. As well as improving the code, the intention is to integrate features from and improve compatibilty with the abc 2.2 standard.

autopiano_chung is an automatic midi player version of midipiano_chung brainpiano2 virtual piano synthesizer . (freebasic /autopiano folder autopiano.bi + dlls) . autopiano_test is an example of use . it plays with a random algorythm the midifiles in the "/automidi" folder (for now max 200 files) . autopiano runs on another thread than the main program to minimize overhead , especially on multicore cpus . to change midipiano sounds settings run /autopiano/brainpiano2_chung.exe
