An Arduino board, Spectra Symbol linear potentiometer, and USB/MIDI adapter are used to create a MIDI controller with continuous pitch (as opposed to discrete notes as played on a piano).
The resulting instrument works with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. It has been tested successfully with Acoustica Mixcraft and GarageBand.
Additional features have been added such as buttons to temporarily switch octaves, and a knob which adjusts how quickly the pitch is tuned.
Your Novation Launchpad controller can display sixteen unique colors with its RG-LEDs. Up until now, it's been all guesswork as to where these colors lie on the velocity wheel. This simple application displays the correct velocity value for the desired color.
MInaDIte is a vitrual MIDI controller, like Jazzmutant's Lemur or MonoTouchLive, which is controlled via a touchscreen or mouse and sends MIDI messages in order to control music production, VJ, DJ, etc. software.
