    A computer scientist has attempted to program a textbook of British general practice (primary care) medicine, that is, Hodgkin K (1978) "Towards Earlier Diagnosis....", 4th Edition, Churchill Livingstone. If a patient types presenting findings (such as headache, cough), the program prompts the user for expansion/denial of appropriate findings, in order to construct a list of patient findings. The program also calculates a list of likely diseases, which the user can use the web to find out more about. The program has more than 600 diseases and 1000 findings. ...

    MELAGE is a neuroimaging software developed for visualizing and processing medical images, both Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Images (MRIs). Specially it has been prepared for neuroimaging of newborns, it is a versatile platform that allows the visualization of many types of medical images. It allows to load two, three and four-dimensional images of both techniques and in the case of 3D images it allows the simultaneous visualization of the three orthogonal planes which facilitates the localization of the regions of interest.     Morphometric analysis and visualization of the 3D structure of neurons

    ...It allows the construction of mathematical representations of neuronal topology, visualization and a variety of morphometric analysis on the neuronal structures. Above all, it provides a flexible environment where new types of analyses can be easily set up allowing total freedom to test new hypotheses. The application was developed in Python and uses Blender (an open source program) to produce detailed 3D representations of raw and processed data.
