Grassroots DiCoM is a C++ library for DICOM medical files. It is accessible from Python, C#, Java and PHP. It supports RAW, JPEG, JPEG 2000, JPEG-LS, RLE and deflated transfer syntax. It comes with a super fast scanner implementation to quickly scan hundreds of DICOM files. It supports SCU network operations (C-ECHO, C-FIND, C-STORE, C-MOVE). PS 3.3 & 3.6 are distributed as XML files. It also provides PS 3.15 certificates and password based mecanism to anonymize and de-identify DICOM datasets.

C# ECG Toolkit is an open source software toolkit to convert, view and print electrocardiograms. The toolkit is developed using C# .NET Framework 2.0 and later (code also supports netstandard2.0). Support for ECG formats: SCP-ECG, DICOM, HL7 aECG, ISHNE, MUSE-XML and OmronECG.

DICOM# open source project is intented to provide an OO class library for DICOM communication and will be developed purely by C# and running in .NET environment. DICOM# partially rewrites dcm4che open source project in C#.

IQWorks is a project to provide Medical Physicists with automated image analysis software for use with DICOM test images, such as CT, mammography and digital radiography.

The program is based upon an original creation by Jim Berry under the program name of Bg Tracker. The code base was Delphi visual basic with FoxPro as the database back end. This new version uses .NET Framework version 4.5 with SQL Server Compact Edition for a very light program footprint.

BioCSharp is an open-source project designed to provide a bioinformatics .NET framework for processing biological data. It will include objects for manipulating sequences, file parsers, DAS, database access and analysis and statistical routines.

An important part of the clinical assessment of a glaucoma patient is the evaluation of the damage caused to the optic disc. It is important to accurately measure the cup to disc ratior (CDR) in glaucoma and ocular hypertensive patients. This computer software program which we call "CDRCalculator" allows you to rapidly measure the CDR of digital images of the optic disc. CDRCalculator loads and displays fundus images stored in PPT slides. All you need to do is mark the respective diameters of the cup and disc with a blue and green line respectively. The software automatically calculates and displays the vertical and horizontal CDR. We are currently evaluating the inter-observer & intra-observer variation using the CDRCalculator to measure the CDR.
