This Java software includes algorithms of combinatorical optimization for the NP-hard offline ship lock scheduling problem. Solutions and performed computations can be displayed graphically. Besides, there is a framework for generating test instances and running these in parallel, as well as R/JGR code for statistical evaluation. ...The application generates arbitrary equations containing 1-4 variables. It is for the student to provide values for these variables which make the equation true. For example, in the screenshot above the equation is: 18-64-c*d=4. The student must choose values for c and d which result in a true statement. One approach would be to solve for the product "c*d" and then choose 2 numbers whose product satisfies what's needed. A calculator written in C#.NET 3.5 that aims to be simple and usable. Future plans include functionality above and beyond that of the standard windows calculator. (Requires the .NET 3.5 framework)
