Open Source Fortran Mapping Software

A library collection of FORTRAN 90 subroutines and functions for the handling of raster images and for remote sensing applications. The 'fwtools' name evolved from 'framework tools'.

The hsdar package contains classes and functions to manage, analyse and simulate hyperspectral data. These might be either spectrometer measurements or hyperspectral images through the interface of rgdal.

The aim of this project is to translate the geostatistical BMELib Matlab Toolbox (http://www.unc.edu/depts/case/BMELIB/) into Python.

GeoSolid3D produces 3D geologic solid models, incorporated into the aquifer and confining units of the USGS ground water models, Modflow and Sutra. Uses GIS data of DEMs, geologic maps, and maps of river, watershed, recharge, and aquifer parameters.

OzGIS is an extensive mapping system for the analysis and display of geographically referenced data. Map data are downloaded from Census bureaux and map agencies or extracted from your own databases. The system can be used to to support management decisions associated with, for example, government planning, marketing, sales, site and personnel location, advertising and research. Systems for Windows, Mac and Ubuntu, source code, sample data files and manuals are included. DOWNLOAD to your Downloads directory and unzip to Downloads/OzGIS ; see the Files tab for installation instructions. ThanDxflib is a library, written in Fortran 77, which makes the creation of .dxf drawings easy. The dxf files may be read by any CAD program.

Two dimensional (2D) fine mesh finite element (FE) grid editing system. Includes constrained Delaunay triangulation, and automated grid resolution changes based on local attributes. Win32 and Motif GUIs. Mature application, now going open source.

GeoSciPy is a set of C and Python functions that provide an API for all aspects of Geoscience and Remote Sensing Applications. Functions include reading/writing of many data formats, images, vectors, ..., and processing of images, vectors, ... including map projections, ... The library is written C, using HDF5 as the file format for storage of all remotely-sensed data and ancillary data, as well as processed data. The C functions assume a particular format for the HDF5 file contents, and provide functions for reading and writing data to such files. There is also a Python API that provides a procedural as well as an object-oriented interface to these functions. A Python GUI for interacting with such datasets is also part of the project. While there are other open-source GIS, and image-processing packages available, this one is designed to be comprehensive, work on 3 major platforms, user-extensible, fast, and able to handle huge datasets. * Please check latest update on https://github.com/igps-ftk/iGPS A tool written in Interactive Data Language (IDL), for processing and analyzing daily continuous GPS position time series. It can read time series in various formats, detect outliers, remove abnormal observation spans, find jumps, extract common-mode components(CMC), etc.

r2d ('raster to desktop publishing') converts IDRISI-style raster images to common desktop publishing formats.

This is a collection of small fortran tools to perform various operations on raster images: projection, upscaling, downscaling, algebraic calculations etc. IDRISI binary raster format is assumed.
