    Turi Create

    Turi Create

Simplifies the development of custom machine learning models

Turi Create simplifies the development of custom machine learning models. You don't have to be a machine learning expert to add recommendations, object detection, image classification, image similarity or activity classification to your app. If you want your app to recognize specific objects in images, you can build your own model with just a few lines of code. Turi Create supports macOS 10.12+, Linux (with glibc 2.10+), Windows 10 (via WSL). Turi Create requires Python 2.7, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8. Also, x86_64 architecture, and at least 4 GB of RAM. We recommend using virtualenv to use, install, or build Turi Create. The package User Guide and API Docs contain more details on how to use Turi Create. If you want to build Turi Create from source, see BUILD.md. Turi Create does not require a GPU, but certain models can be accelerated 9-13x by utilizing a GPU.

    UMAP

    UMAP

    Uniform Manifold Approximation and Projection

Uniform Manifold Approximation and Projection (UMAP) is a dimension reduction technique that can be used for visualization similarly to t-SNE, but also for general non-linear dimension reduction. It is possible to model the manifold with a fuzzy topological structure. The embedding is found by searching for a low-dimensional projection of the data that has the closest possible equivalent fuzzy topological structure. First of all UMAP is fast. It can handle large datasets and high dimensional data without too much difficulty, scaling beyond what most t-SNE packages can manage. This includes very high dimensional sparse datasets. UMAP has successfully been used directly on data with over a million dimensions. Second, UMAP scales well in the embedding dimension—it isn't just for visualization. You can use UMAP as a general-purpose dimension reduction technique as a preliminary step to other machine learning tasks.

    UnionML

    UnionML

Build and deploy machine learning microservices

Creating ML apps should be simple and frictionless. UnionML is an open-source Python framework built on top of Flyte™, unifying the complex ecosystem of ML tools into a single interface. Combine the tools that you love using a simple, standardized API so you can stop writing so much boilerplate and focus on what matters: the data and the models that learn from them. Fit the rich ecosystem of tools and frameworks into a common protocol for machine learning. Using industry-standard machine learning methods, implement endpoints for fetching data, training models, serving predictions (and much more) to write a complete ML stack in one place. Data science, ML engineering, and MLOps practitioners can all gather around UnionML apps as a way of defining a single source of truth about your ML system’s behavior. This helps you maintain consistent code across your ML stack, from training to prediction logic.

    Unity ML-Agents Toolkit

    Unity ML-Agents Toolkit

    Unity machine learning agents toolkit

Train and embed intelligent agents by leveraging state-of-the-art deep learning technology. Creating responsive and intelligent virtual players and non-playable game characters is hard. Especially when the game is complex. To create intelligent behaviors, developers have had to resort to writing tons of code or using highly specialized tools. With Unity Machine Learning Agents (ML-Agents), you are no longer “coding” emergent behaviors, but rather teaching intelligent agents to “learn” through a combination of deep reinforcement learning and imitation learning. Using ML-Agents allows developers to create more compelling gameplay and an enhanced game experience. Advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) research depends on figuring out tough problems in existing environments using current benchmarks for training AI models. Using Unity and the ML-Agents toolkit, you can create AI environments that are physically, visually, and cognitively rich.

    VoxelMorph

    VoxelMorph

    Unsupervised Learning for Image Registration

VoxelMorph is an open-source deep learning framework designed for medical image registration, a process that aligns multiple medical scans into a common spatial coordinate system. Traditional image registration techniques typically rely on optimization procedures that must be executed separately for each pair of images, which can be computationally expensive and slow. VoxelMorph approaches the problem using neural networks that learn to predict deformation fields that transform one image so that it aligns with another. Once the model has been trained, it can rapidly compute the transformation required to register new image pairs, significantly reducing computational time compared to classical registration algorithms. The framework supports both supervised and unsupervised learning approaches and is commonly used in medical imaging applications such as MRI alignment, anatomical analysis, and longitudinal studies.

    WaveFunctionCollapse

    WaveFunctionCollapse

Bitmap & tilemap generation from a single example

This program generates bitmaps that are locally similar to the input bitmap. WFC initializes output bitmap in a completely unobserved state, where each pixel value is in superposition of colors of the input bitmap (so if the input was black & white then the unobserved states are shown in different shades of grey). The coefficients in these superpositions are real numbers, not complex numbers, so it doesn't do the actual quantum mechanics, but it was inspired by QM. Then the program goes into the observation-propagation cycle. It may happen that during propagation all the coefficients for a certain pixel become zero. That means that the algorithm has run into a contradiction and can not continue. The problem of determining whether a certain bitmap allows other nontrivial bitmaps satisfying condition (C1) is NP-hard, so it's impossible to create a fast solution that always finishes. In practice, however, the algorithm runs into contradictions surprisingly rarely.

    Weld

    Weld

High-performance runtime for data analytics applications

Weld is a programming language and runtime designed to improve the performance of data-intensive applications by optimizing computations across multiple libraries. Instead of optimizing individual functions independently, Weld introduces an intermediate representation that allows different frameworks to share optimization opportunities. This approach reduces data movement between libraries and enables the system to generate highly optimized machine code for parallel execution. Weld is particularly useful for workloads involving large-scale data processing in frameworks such as NumPy, Spark, and TensorFlow. The language includes built-in constructs for expressing data-parallel operations, enabling efficient execution on modern hardware architectures. By combining operations from multiple libraries into a single optimized execution plan, Weld can significantly improve performance in analytics and machine learning pipelines.
