    Throttled

    Throttled

Workaround for Intel throttling issues in Linux

This tool was originally developed to fix Linux CPU throttling issues affecting Lenovo T480 / T480s / X1C6. The CPU package power limit (PL1/2) is forced to a value of 44 W (29 W on battery) and the temperature trip point to 95 'C (85 'C on battery) by overriding default values in MSR and MCHBAR every 5 seconds (30 on battery) to block the Embedded Controller from resetting these values to default.

Hot is macOS menu bar application that displays the CPU speed limit

Hot is macOS menu bar application that displays the CPU speed limit due to thermal issues. CPU throttling is a power management technique in computer architecture whereby the frequency of a microprocessor can be automatically adjusted "on the fly" depending on the actual need, to conserve power and reduce the amount of heat generated by the chip.

    ImplicitGlobalGrid.jl

    ImplicitGlobalGrid.jl

Distributed parallelization of stencil-based GPU and CPU applications

...Samuel Omlin) with Stanford University (Dr. Ludovic Räss) and the Swiss Geocomputing Centre (Prof. Yuri Podladchikov). It renders the distributed parallelization of stencil-based GPU and CPU applications on a regular staggered grid almost trivial and enables close to ideal weak scaling of real-world applications on thousands of GPUs [1, 2, 3]. ImplicitGlobalGrid relies on the Julia MPI wrapper (MPI.jl) to perform halo updates close to hardware limit and leverages CUDA-aware or ROCm-aware MPI for GPU-applications. The communication can straightforwardly be hidden behind computation [1, 3] (how this can be done automatically when using ParallelStencil.jl is shown in; a general approach particularly suited for CUDA C applications is explained in.

    ScreenCrest

    ScreenCrest

Lightweight screen recorder for low-end PCs - no lag, no watermark

...It records your full screen, a single window or a region, with system audio and microphone captured into one file, using a low-footprint software encoder that keeps CPU usage down and does not tank your frame rate on low-end hardware. No watermark, no time limit, no account. Recordings are clean and as long as you need. If OBS is too heavy for your machine and CamStudio has been abandoned, ScreenCrest is the small, maintained option in between. The installer is about 4.6 MB. It runs on Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11, both 32-bit and 64-bit, and needs only .NET Framework 4.7.2, which modern Windows already has. ...

    trimwise

    trimwise

Query-aware prompt compression for high-signal LLM prompts.

Trimwise is an extractive Python library for the step between collecting text and assembling a prompt. Give it a document, a maximum size, and optionally the task you care about. It selects useful fragments from across the document, returns them in source order, and guarantees that the measured result stays within your token, word, or character limit. This is especially useful when an agent has several sources but cannot place every source in the context window. Instead of taking the...

    Neural Tangents

    Neural Tangents

Fast and Easy Infinite Neural Networks in Python

Neural Tangents is a high-level neural network API for specifying complex, hierarchical models at both finite and infinite width, built in Python on top of JAX and XLA. It lets researchers define architectures from familiar building blocks—convolutions, pooling, residual connections, and nonlinearities—and obtain not only the finite network but also the corresponding Gaussian Process (GP) kernel of its infinite-width limit. With a single specification, you can compute NNGP and NTK kernels,...

    barco

    barco

Linux containers from scratch in C

barco is a project I worked on to learn more about Linux containers and the Linux kernel, based on other guides on the internet. Linux containers are made up by a set of Linux kernel features. namespaces: are used to group kernel objects into different sets that can be accessed by specific process trees. There are different types of namespaces, for example, the PID namespace is used to isolate the process tree, while the network namespace is used to isolate the network stack.

    exchange-core java

    exchange-core java

Ultra-fast matching engine written in Java based on LMAX Disruptor

Exchange-core is an open source market exchange core based on LMAX Disruptor, Eclipse Collections (ex. Goldman Sachs GS Collections), Real Logic Agrona, OpenHFT Chronicle-Wire, LZ4 Java, and Adaptive Radix Trees. HFT optimized. Priority is a limit-order-move operation mean latency (currently ~0.5µs). Cancel operation takes ~0.7µs, placing new order ~1.0µs. Pipelined multi-core processing (based on LMAX Disruptor): each CPU core is responsible for certain processing stage, user accounts shard, or symbol order books shard.

    Complex Renderer

    Complex Renderer

Simple renderer of complex functions including recursive

...Currently, compiled program draws Mandelbrot set, but if you want to draw another function, you need to inherit it from 'Renderer' class in sources, pass it to 'Window' and recompile project. Including 4 versions. The first one was written with C++ and uses CPU 128-bit double. The second does the same, but was written with D language and Derelict3. The third uses GPU (GLSL shaders) to draw Mandelbrot set. It is extremely fast, but uses only 32-bit float. And finally, the fourth works on CPU, but uses arbitrary precision (OpenMP), so it hasn't limit for depth (except rendering time).

    APSim

APSim is a small powder/particle simulator game in Java.

APSim is simply a project started on 23 December 2010 that deals with creating a 3D simulation of particles, the particles being of certain materials included in the simulator. It strives to create an environment that is realistic, while also trying to achieve decent FPS. The particles in the game interact, creating reactions and new particles (of course it is very CPU consuming). The user is placed into a virtual environment, and has many tools at his/her disposal. Particles can be...

    1raster-tracker

    One Rasterline Tracker (for C64)

This littre tracker has a special player which only needs around 65 CPU cycles (1 rasterline) to produce music on the Commodore 64's SID sound-chip. Due to the rastertime-limit there are some restrictions but with clever solutions you can tweak good sound out of it... check out the included example-tunes to learn how...
