    RCourse

RCourse - a robustness benchmarking suite for publish/subscribe

RCourse is a library for the peersim simulation environment and designed to evaluate the robustness of P2P publish/subscribe overlay protocols. RCourse provides some example implementations of Scribe/Pastry and (Informed) Gossiping with Cyclon and HyParView. RCourset targets to support the simulation by means of scenario definition, automated analysis and diagram generation. Multiple scenarios are already defined (node crash, churn, message loss etc.), however, they serve as a base. Due to the modular design it is easy to adapt RCourse to own needs. ...

3d peer to peer chatroom where associated pairs of text gravitate

A 3d chatroom where the things people write gravitate toward eachother based on total strength of associations between those short texts. Strength is a competition of who spends the most computing time trying to associate the texts, similar to Bitcoin's "proof of work" system. While there is unlimited space in the system overall, the space around any specific text is limited by 3d space, which drives competition for what people want that text to be associated with. It can be used like a...

NOTE: This project is on hold permanently... it was eating up too much of my life ;) It's still a good example of how to couple a WPF program with DirectX and OpenGL for 3D rendering. If others are interested in collaborating I'd come back to this or something similar. -- InsaneFX is a node-based special effects editor (written mostly in C#) and native runtime (written in C/C++). It ships with (unoptimized) example renderers for DirectX 9 and OpenGL.

    CSV reformatter

    reformats fields in CSV files

...The rationale for having such a tool is that sometimes we export data to CSV file from a system/library that doesn't allow fine control over the exact format of the fields, and we need to import the file in another system that insists on some specific representation . For example: exported 0 vs 0.00 ,, vs ,"", (or the other way around) needed 001 vs 1.

Actionscript 3 Particle Engine for Flash and Flex

...Each snow flake will be a particle in our particle system. If you want to see the final effect, scroll to the bottom of the page. This tutorial works with version 4.0.0 of the Flint library. This example creates a 2D particle effect. For 3D particle effects the principles are the same but you use a 3D emitter and 3D behaviours. First create a new Flash file (Actionscript 3). Set the stage size to 500 pixels wide and 400 pixels high, set the frame rate to 30 fps and set the background color to black.
