PHP daemon to process 3d mesh algorithms
Primarily for use with the REVEAL web system this daemon polls a mysql database for 3d rendering requests. Currently the system will handle PMVS2 from U. Wash and Iray from Brown U. systems. Much of the code was ported from the osm-bundler system http://code.google.com/p/osm-bundler/ The daemon curently runs in win64/linux64 for PMVS and linux64 for Brown's Iray algroithm. The code has been tested and running on Ubuntu 11.10 -

XFEM
XFEM implementation in MATLAB
The extended finite element method (XFEM) classified, one of the partition of unity method (PUM), allows discontinuities to be simulated independently of the mesh. This is possible by adding appropriate functions to the FE approximation basis, for example, the Heaviside function. The discontinuities can evolve in time, without a need for a conforming mesh. Euclid's Lattice
Simulates non-Euclidean spaces with multidimensional meshes.
Distributes points in n dimensional space, within some constraint or according to some function, then attempts to connect them into an m dimensional mesh (eg., a 3-sphere, which has a 3 dimensional surface, or more exotic things like a Klein bottle and its higher dimensional analogs). Upon success, one can then place and maneuver cameras on the surface of the mesh, their vision restricted to said surface. -

This tool generates planar graphs, with the help of Voronoi diagram package (megamu.mesh) created by Lee Byron (see: www.leebyron.com/else/mesh/). An output graph is a JUNG graph object (see: https://sourceforge.net/projects/jung/). Be aware that the tool was not optimized neither for exceptions/errors handling nor for time/spatial complexity. The code has been poorly commented (I'm lazy) . -

This tool will feature an easy to use interface, and will be scalable, able to produce a large batch of similar plants simultaneously. The project is current just starting - I'm laying down some basic code to generate a tree skeleton, then using that skeleton to create an "envelope" mesh. Then I plan on adding features in subsequent releases. Then I'll probably end up rewriting all of the code... -

Canadian Canoe Trek is a simulation of a canoe trip in the Canadian wilderness. The graphics are meant to look real and the scenery is very nice. I made this simulation in about four days. The mesh objects were my own design too. I used wings to make the loon, turtle, moose, lily pads, flowers and canoe. You can change views with the number keys. This canoe simulation includes rapids and rocks so be careful out there EH. -
