Genome compression algorithm with/without reference (Linux/Windows)
...The proposed framework handles genome compression with and without reference seque- nces, and demonstrated performance advantage over the best existing algorithms. The proposed method without a reference led to bit rates of 1.720 and 1.838 bits per base for bacteria and yeast, which are approximately 3.7% and 2.6% better than the state-of-the-art algorithm. Regarding performance with reference, we tested on the first Korean personal genome sequence data set, and the proposed method demonstrated a 189-fold compression rate, reducing the raw file size from 2986.8 MB to 15.8 MB. -

Add all files/folders to a folder named UTFT inside "libraries" folder in Arduino main install folder. 2. Unzip the "examples.zip" & "tools.zip". 3. Restart Arduino software. 4. Open "HW_Teensy3.h" & change the const int PIN0 - PIN15 to correct I/O pins on the Teensy 3.0 that are attached to DB0-DB15 accordingly, then save the file. 5. ... -

Possibly the final build of my LED Sphere project. The sphere is composed of nine slices, each of which has one or several concentric circles of LEDs on its surface. The slices are laid out vertically, offset from each other roughly one inch with standoffs between each layer which from a short distance will appear spherical in shape. Current layout contains 766 total LEDs to obtain good animation resolution. -
