    rtk

    rtk

CLI proxy that reduces LLM token consumption

rtk is an open-source command-line proxy designed to optimize interactions between AI coding agents and the terminal by reducing unnecessary token consumption. When AI assistants execute shell commands during software development tasks, the resulting terminal output often contains large amounts of repetitive or irrelevant information that can overwhelm the model’s context window. RTK intercepts these command outputs and compresses them into concise summaries before sending them to the language model. This process helps maintain important information while removing redundant data such as boilerplate logs, long directory listings, or repetitive test outputs. By minimizing the amount of noise sent to the AI model, the tool improves reasoning quality and allows longer development sessions within the same context window. The system is implemented as a lightweight Rust binary that runs locally and integrates easily with common AI coding environments.

    KonaBess

    KonaBess

A GPU overclock & undervolt tool for various Snapdragon chips

KonaBess is a straightforward application designed to customize GPU frequency and voltage tables without the need for kernel recompilation. The application achieves customization by unpacking the Boot/Vendor Boot image, decompiling and editing relevant dtb (device tree binary) files, and finally repacking and flashing the modified image. The extent of improvement varies, with some users reporting a 25% reduction in power consumption in the graphics benchmark (4.2w->3.2w) after undervolting the Snapdragon 865. Actual improvement is chip-specific and contingent on stability requirements.

    Linux Surface

    Linux Surface

    Linux Kernel for Surface Devices

Linux running on Microsoft Surface devices. These days, Linux supports a lot of devices out-of-the-box. As a matter of fact, this includes a good portion of the Microsoft Surface devices—for most parts at least. Unfortunately, Surface devices tend to be a bit special. This is mostly because some hardware choices Microsoft made are rarely (if at all) used by other, more "standard", devices. We aim to send all the changes we make here upstream, but this may take time. This kernel allows us to ship new features faster, as we do not have to adhere to the upstream release schedule (and, for better or worse, code standards). We also rely on it to test and prototype patches before sending them upstream, which is crucial because we maintainers cannot test on all Surface devices (which also means we may break things along the way).

    Notepads

    Notepads

A modern, lightweight text editor with a minimalist design

I have been waiting long enough for a modern Windows 10 notepad app to come before I decided to create one myself. Don’t get me wrong, Notepad++, VS Code, and Sublime are great text editors. I have used them all and I will continue to use them in the future. However, they are either too heavy or look less appealing. There are times that I just wanted to use Windows Notepad for things like writing notes or editing config files. So I decided to create a win32 notepad replacement here and try to give it a modern look and feel. Most importantly, it has to be blazingly fast and appeal to everyone.

    pgvector

    pgvector

Open-source vector similarity search for Postgres

pgvector is an open-source PostgreSQL extension that equips PostgreSQL databases with vector data storage, indexing, and similarity search capabilities—ideal for embeddings-based applications like semantic search and recommendations. You can add an index to use approximate nearest neighbor search, which trades some recall for speed. Unlike typical indexes, you will see different results for queries after adding an approximate index. An HNSW index creates a multilayer graph. It has better query performance than IVFFlat (in terms of speed-recall tradeoff), but has slower build times and uses more memory. Also, an index can be created without any data in the table since there isn’t a training step like IVFFlat.

    thc-hydra

    thc-hydra

Shows how easy it would be to gain unauthorized access to a system

Number one of the biggest security holes are passwords, as every password security study shows. This tool is a proof of concept code, to give researchers and security consultants the possibility to show how easy it would be to gain unauthorized access from remote to a system. There are already several login hacker tools available, however, none does either support more than one protocol to attack or support parallelized connects. It was tested to compile cleanly on Linux, Windows/Cygwin, Solaris, FreeBSD/OpenBSD, QNX (Blackberry 10) and MacOS. However the module engine for new services is very easy so it won't take a long time until even more services are supported. Via the command line options you specify which logins to try, which passwords, if SSL should be used, how many parallel tasks to use for attacking, etc. PROTOCOL is the protocol you want to use for attacking, e.g. ftp, smtp, http-get or many others are available.
