The Goal of this project is to create a compressed Database of modern electronic education projects, such as Khan Academy and Hyperphysics, to be stored on moderately sized storage devices for shipment to third-world classrooms without a connection to the internet.

...The objective was that the system could be installed specifically in the user university and run through the web browser as a local page or having the possibility of installing it in a university server (could be in any site, no need to be in the user university) so through the browser and an internet connection it could be used from anywhere (mainly in developing countries which is the target of the project). The project was initially thought for the Ngozi university in Burundi, so it tries to fulfill the requirements from that university, but the design is as open as it could be so it can be adapted to work on other universities.

I modified a version previously edited by nfcn, introducing a button to initiate a connection, introducing an icon "VNC" from 32x32 to 16x16 instead of the earlier, integrating the information into the main applicazine (now once you have installed only one icon and not more than two), compatibility with the Blackberry (not yet complete currently manages only to initiate the connection, but not to communicate with the VNC server)!

This is a Remote Desktop application based on Java. It uses Kryonet API(http://code.google.com/p/kryonet/) to maintain the preliminary connection between the server and client. For now only peer to peer connection is possible. It works only in LAN. We had thought to extend it to internet version but it might take some time.
