This is my first real attempt at making a game for my 2nd year course in DirectX Programming and Software Engineering back in 2008/2009. This unit required I made a game using the DirectX version 9 SDK to make a game involving the game mechanics moving and building, while utilising Direct3d, DirectInput and XAudio 2. In this game, the player controls the transparent mine and tries to move it into a position where it can build a stationary mine to destroy the incoming tanks. I was playing a lot of Red Alert 3 back then, so please excuse the music choice. -

One of the requirements of current Semantic Web applications is to deal with heterogenous data. Data represented and stored using the Extensible Markup Language (XML) is almost ubiquitous and is the standard for data exchange. Resource Description Framework (RDF) is the W3C recommended standard for data representation. A project I put together in Java with Jsoup. It allows the user to select a board, which brings up all of the available threads on that board, so the user can select their preferred thread(s) and download all of the posted images. This is a code for the sentence parsing that does its job properly and FAST. The main problem is that you really need a database of abbreviations so that phrases such as "Dr. Smith" are not calculated as 2 sentences, which means that the good parser must be language dependent.
