    wxpy

    wxpy

Probably the most elegant Wechat personal number API

On the basis of itchat, wxpy improves the ease of use of the module through a large number of interface optimizations and provides rich function expansion. All in all, it can be used to automate the operation of various WeChat personal accounts. Judging from the recent feedback (late June 2017), there is a certain probability that the use of robots may be restricted from logging in. It is mainly manifested in the inability to log in to Web WeChat (but does not affect other platforms such as mobile phones). Comprehensive object-oriented interface, more elegant invocation. Default multi-threaded response message, faster reply. Contains practical. Receive warnings with WeChat in other projects with just two lines of code. ...

Low-power approximate adders provide basic building blocks for approximate computing hardware that have shown remarkable energy efficiency for error-resilient applications (like image/video processing, computer vision, etc.), especially for battery-driven portable systems. In this paper, we present a novel scalable, fast yet accurate analytical method to evaluate the output error probability of multi-bit low power adders for a predetermined probability of input bits. Our method recursively computes the error probability by considering the accurate cases only, which are considerably smaller than the erroneous ones. Our method can handle the error analysis of a wider-range of adders with negligible computational overhead. ...

    Investing

    Investing

Investing Returns on the Market as a Whole

...The key insight illustrated is that over sufficiently long holding periods (e.g. 40 years), the stock market stabilizes and nearly always yields positive returns, even accounting for extreme market crashes and recessions. The visualizations show “return curves” for different starting years and durations, and also illustrate the probability of losses over various time horizons. The project is centered on transparency in finance and encourages users to examine the data themselves; the code is shared in R and uses ggplot2 for plotting.

    EBprot

Bayesian Analysis of labeling-based Quantitative Proteomics Data

EBprot implements a hierarchical mixture model directly representing the peptide-protein map. The model fit is used to score differential expression of proteins in a (signed) probability scale based on reproducible quantification over multiple peptides. The package takes as input a data matrix with each row containing the data for one peptide, including protein and peptide identifier and peptide ratio(s), and returns the protein-level score table with PPscore, BFDR, Posterior Odds score, and flag for each comparison.

    hSDM

R package for hierarchical species distribution models

...Such models allows interpreting the observations (occurrence and abundance of a species) as a result of several hierarchical processes including ecological processes (habitat suitability, spatial dependence and anthropogenic disturbance) and observation processes (species detectability). Hierarchical species distribution models are essential for accurately characterizing the environmental response of species, predicting their probability of occurrence, and assessing uncertainty in the model results.

    RStan

    RStan

RStan, the R interface to Stan

RStan is the R interface to Stan, a C++ library for statistical modeling and high-performance statistical computation. It lets users specify models in the Stan modeling language (for Bayesian inference), compile them, and perform inference from R. Key inference approaches include full Bayesian inference via Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (specifically the No-U-Turn Sampler, NUTS), approximate Bayesian inference via variational methods, and optimization (penalized likelihood). RStan integrates with...

    fitGCP

Fitting genome coverage distributions with mixture models

...Making this information accessible can improve the quality of sequencing experiments and quantitative analyses. fitGCP is a framework for fitting mixtures of probability distributions to genome coverage profiles. Besides commonly used distributions, fitGCP uses distributions tailored to account for common artifacts. The mixture models are iteratively fitted based on the Expectation-Maximization algorithm. FamSeq

Variant calling on the basis of pedigree information

...In family-based sequencing studies, information from all family members should be utilized to more accurately identify new germline mutations. FamSeq serves this purpose by providing the probability of an individual carrying a variant given his/her entire family’s raw measurements. FamSeq accommodates de novo mutations and can perform variant calling at chromosome X. To accommodate variations in data complexity, FamSeq consists of three distinct implementations of the Mendelian genetic model: the Bayesian network algorithm, Elston-Stewart algorithm and Markov chain Monte Carlo algorithm. ...

    sdEM

    Stochastic Discriminative Expectation Maximization (sdEM)

...We show how this learning algorithm can be used to train probabilistic generative models by minimizing different discriminative loss functions, such as the negative conditional log-likelihood and the Hinge loss. The resulting models trained by sdEM are always generative (i.e. they define a joint probability distribution) and, in consequence, allows to deal with missing data and latent variables in a principled way either when being learned or when making predictions.

    VariantMaster

Extract causative variants for monogenic and sporadic genetic diseases

...The algorithm takes into account predicted variants (SNPs and indels) in affected individuals or tumor samples and utilizes the row (BAM) data to robustly estimate the conditional probability of segregation in a family, as well as the probability of it being de novo or somatic. In familial cases, various modes of inheritance are considered: X-linked, autosomal dominant, and recessive (homozygosity or compound heterozygosity). Moreover, VariantMaster integrates phenotypes and genotypes, and employs Annovar to produce additional information as allelic frequencies in general population and damaging scores.
