    PortOpt

    PortOpt

    A portfolio-optimizer using Markowitz(1952) mean-variance model

...You have to provide PortOpt (in text files or - if you use the api - using your own code) the variance/covariance matrix of the assets, their average returns and the agent risk preference. It returns the vector of assets' shares that composes the optimal portfolio. In order to minimise the variance it internally uses QuadProg++, a library that implement the algorithm of Goldfarb and Idnani for the solution of a (convex) Quadratic Programming problem by means of an active-set dual method. This solution is very efficient as it allows to solve hundred of thousand of portfolio problems in seconds. PortOpt runs as a text/console tool so it can be easily used in your own scripts.

    JHCaching

Lightweight LRU Caching library with persistence

LRU caching map is Least Recent Used Map, (see Wiki), meaning that a Key,Value pair is stored in the cache, with a "expireTime", but every time the Key is retrieved (get method) the expire time is extended. It is a simple POJO one jar library. With complete documentation with examples and javadoc. When the cache reaches is "maxSize" or a cleanup of the cache is performed (automatically by deamon thread dependent on the "LRUCachingMapConfiguration"), it is the keys with least recent used (lowest expire time) that is discarded first. This library has extended configuration, so you have the ability to set how times a keys expired time can be extended. ...

    Grammar based Combinatorial Solver

    Grammar based Combinatorial Solver

Solver with Applications in Computer Network Systems Design

The solver performs an exhaustive search on the space defined using simple formal language grammar constructs to identify solutions that meet the objective and constraints. It can be used to easily define complex discrete multi-dimensional combinatorial problems that are otherwise difficult to model using Mixed Integer Linear Programming solvers. The solver does not make any assumptions on continuity of the search space. The solver is implemented in PHP. A GoJS based visualization is provided for model's grammar. Two system design model samples are provided. One uses the solver to identify low power network design for Passive Optical Networks given a set of choices for provider and customer premises equipment and a set of optical domain constraints. ...

    GXUI

    GXUI

An experimental Go cross platform UI library

GXUI is an experimental, cross-platform GUI toolkit for Go that explored what a modern, GPU-accelerated desktop UI could look like for the language. It provided a set of widgets, layout containers, and event models that ran on Windows, macOS, and Linux, targeting a single Go API surface. Rendering was driven by a graphics backend so that animations, text, and compositing could be smooth without relying on heavyweight native bindings. The library encouraged idiomatic Go patterns—composition and interfaces—while offering a retained-mode tree of views for common desktop interactions. ...

    Bat2015

    Bachelor of Science (Informatik)

...With a focus on the MILP methods we implement a load balancing and speed up the solving process in a multiplicative way. Sometimes we have super-linear speedup with a small set of hardware. With a splitting of problems, parallel computing and distributing the actual best solution to all running processes we solve CBP much faster than a sequential processing can do.
