    Twirp

    Twirp

A simple RPC framework with protobuf service definitions

...You define a service in a .proto specification file, then Twirp will generate servers and clients for that service. It's your job to fill in the "business logic" that powers the server, and then generated clients can consume your service straight away. Twirp routing and serialization reduces the risk of introducing bugs. Both JSON and Protobuf are supported. The Protobuf protocol is designed to allow backwards compatible changes (unlike JSON, it is trivial to rename fields). Protobuf is super fast and the proto file definition also works well as documentation for your service. Twirp is similar to gRPC, but without the custom HTTP server and transport implementations: it runs on the standard library's extremely-well-tested-and-high-performance net/http Server. ...

    freefq tutorials

    freefq tutorials

Companion repository to the freefq project

...While the proxy lists themselves are raw configurations, this tutorials repo contextualizes them for users who may be unfamiliar with client setup, encryption options, or platform-specific considerations like mobile vs desktop environments. It typically includes how-tos on importing proxy nodes into apps, choosing the right protocol for specific needs, and tips for optimizing performance or privacy. The repository also covers explanatory content on network fundamentals like encryption, traffic routing, and what different proxy protocols actually do, which can help newcomers make smarter configuration choices.

    Netstack

    Netstack

IPv4 and IPv6 userland network stack

netstack is a userspace TCP/IP networking stack written in Go that implements core IPv4/IPv6 protocols with a focus on correctness, isolation, and testability. By running entirely in user space, it avoids kernel dependencies and can be embedded into sandboxes, virtualized environments, or custom appliances. Its architecture models NICs, link endpoints, route tables, and protocol engines as composable interfaces, enabling precise control over packet flow and easy mocking in tests. The stack...

    SVCEval-RA

An Evaluation Framework for Adaptive Scalable Video Streaming

SVCEval-RA is a simulation framework for rate-adaptive video transmission using the Scalable Video Coding standard (H.264/SVC). Our approach uses feedback information about the available bandwidth to allow the video source to select the most suitable combination of SVC layers for the transmission of the video sequence. The proposed solution has been integrated into the network simulator NS-2 in order to support realistic network simulations.

    rcg-tool

Automatic configuration generation tool for routers

...We take advantage of the topology setup configuration files produced by GNS3 to automatically generate the nodes (e.g. routers and switches) configuration files, without the need to access their corresponding consoles. Our implementation is also able to include customized settings, like the routing protocol to be used and which baseline configuration should be applied. This extension for GNS3 allows beginner practitioners to produce valid configuration files that can be further analysed, replicated and even applied to real network equipments. For more experienced students or practitioners this extension allows to speedup the overall network configuration task in large and complex network topologies, since they may overtake some initial and repetitive IP configuration steps.

    SAORS

OMNET++ implementation of framework for opportunistic protocols.

Up to now, OMNET++ and the INET and INETMANET frameworks do not include an opportunistic routing protocol implementation. A careful examination reveals that there are three very distinctive stages in the decision procedure of every opportunistic routing protocol. SAORS takes advantage of this observation and incorporates it in the system architecture. It is based on the DYMO ad-hoc routing protocol. SAORS provides the necessary functions for the development of opportunistic schemes such as access to the node's routing table, a database for storing the Delay-Tolerant messages, as well as the ad-hoc functionality accomplished by DYMO. ...

    ECMM

OMNET++ implementation of the Enhanced Community-based Mobility Model

...These models provide many desired characteristics, such as socially influenced mobility decisions and are quite realistic. One specific model, namely the Enhanced Community-based mobility model, is very suitable for opportunistic routing research comparing to the others, because of its advanced properties. These include a pause period, conformance to the existing social ties and the ability to produce periodical epochs during the simulation. This is therefore, the main mobility model provided by this project. Up to now, OMNET++ and the INET and INETMANET frameworks do not include an opportunistic routing protocol implementation. ...

    RedMQ

    Simple, flexible messaging with Redis.

RedMQ is a Redis-based messaging system that is specifically designed to support flexible messaging schemes, exposing an API that allows messages to be filtered by a number of message attributes. At its core is a Python TCP server built on Asynchronous Messaging Protocol and Twisted's AMP module. This means RedMQ can support clients in any language, though only two clients - PHP and Python - have been implemented to date. The API is designed with flexibility in mind, providing native support for conditional messaging and custom message routing as well as standard point-to-point and publish-subscribe messaging models.
