    Granim.js

    Granim.js

Create fluid and interactive gradient animations

Create fluid and interactive gradient animations with this small javascript library. Lets you customize the direction of the gradient with pixels or percentage values. You can use more than 2 colors for the gradients, but cannot have different length of colors in the different states. Complete configuration with two states, an image and callbacks set. Granim will emit events you can listen to at key moments. How the image should blend with the gradient? You can see all the possible values...

Pix2Bit - Game Boy Graphics Analyzer

translates tiles in a png image file to 16 byte representation

Pix2Bit allows you to easily select tiles in a png image file to be used in a game boy application, and immediately see the hexadecimal representation of these tiles. You can copy these hexadecimal byte numbers and paste them into your game boy code. You can view the image in a grid of 8x8 pixels or without a grid. You can zoom in and out of the image. You also get a count of the number of tiles that are unique out of the total number of tiles in the image.

    Graphical Machine
Graphical machine is the sequel for Run Machine. Its particularity is that it does not display on a console but on a 900 by 600 screen, making it possible to display lines, squares, circles and even 3D shapes. Text display is still possible thanks to another new feature: patterns. Patterns are "objects" storing a plane of pixels, allowing the display of "prefabricated" objects (such as a letter or a button). It is also possible to share and use function libraries (such as drawing algorithms...

    Open Star

Open Star interactively sums star field images.

This program is in alpha development and is not yet ready for general use. Open Star interactively reads multiple images of a fixed star field from a designated directory structure, sums them, rescales the sum, and displays it. This has the affect of maintaining the objects in fixed positions ( stars ) in the summed image, while averaging away sensor noise and transient objects ( planes, satellites, UFOs, etc ). The program also supports normalizing hot pixels by subtracting out a dark...

    Gphoton: simple 3d ray tracer

Gphoton in a simple 3d modeler and ray tracer.

... was trying to do 3D on early computers - big BW pixels! By late 80s I saw ray tracing and had to write my own. I wrote the 1st ver while taking vector calculus and CAD programming classes c. '92. I was intrigued not only by the beauty of the math but also ray tracing curved metals. This is actually the 2nd ver, ported from MFC to gnome (with enhancements like optional GL) c. '00 with some help from David. Apr'17: Updated to compile on recent Ubuntu/Debian - still runs, even on a pi!

    AnyPixel.js

    AnyPixel.js

A web-friendly way for anyone to build unusual displays

AnyPixel.js is an open-source software and hardware library that makes it possible to use the web to create big, unusual, interactive displays. Anyone can fork the code and the schematics to create their own display at any scale. The first display using this platform is in the 8th Avenue lobby at the Google NYC office. To create this installation, we used 5880 off-the-shelf arcade buttons with LEDs inside them as our pixels. AnyPixel.js’ straightforward hardware/software framework makes it easy...

SAP Graphic Canvas Class for Dynpro

SAP ABAP class to implements a graphic canvas on a dynpro program

Maybe there were times when you wished you had an ABAP functionality of a graphic canvas in your good old dynpro screens. This is my implementation of an ABAP class that offers it! It will allow any regular dynpro program (ie, non-webdynpro neither Fiori) to offer a graphic canvas in a predefined area on any screen, where you can set and reset 8- or 24-bit colored pixels, allowing the ABAPer to draw any graphics he/she might want, and even images and also to respond to clicks and double...

    Simple xbm Image Editor

    Simple xbm Image Editor

XBM images are displayed in actual size and in an enlarged edit grid.

... are not stored in .xbm files. Background and foreground color selection is provided in order to experiment with colors for your application. The editor can display very large .xbm files in their actual size but the maximum bitmap size that can be edited is 2500 pixels. This limit is arbitrary and can easily be changed, but bitmap edit grid loading and, in particular, garbage collection become quite slow if the limit is a lot more than 2500 pixels. The gridMax constant sets max size.

    snabbt.js

    snabbt.js

Fast animations with javascript and CSS transforms

snabbt.js is a minimalistic javascript animation library. It focuses on moving things around. It will translate, rotate, scale, skew and resize your elements. By including matrix multiplication operations, transforms can be combined in any way you want. The end result is then set via CSS3 transform matrices. snabbt.js is built to be fast. It will only animate things that modern browsers can animate cheaply, transforms and opacity. The goal is to make a library that will let the user make...

This is na attempt to identify objects in real time video processing. Uses a Sample Grabber filter to get frames from webcam feed. I mannaged to group pixels with similar color and that have topologic continuity. In another processing layer the objective is to relate these groups by their apparent velocity and constant borders, so that an object with different colors or patterns could be identified as the same object.

    Portable Type Engine

    Lightweight embedded font engine

A font rendering engine for embedded systems. Draw high quality anti-aliased fonts on low to medium power embedded systems. The engine is a single small standard C file which needs to be included in your project. The Font tool creates a standard C file version of any font installed on your OS (Windows, Linux, Mac). All you need to implement is the draw pixel function for your hardware. Requires very little RAM as the only buffering is a line of pixels up to the width of your text.

    Visual Integer Factor

Puzzle game demonstrating whats so hard about binary integer factoring

... dimensions, from the lowest digit of the 2 odd integers both upright and upleft, its factors, and in the 2d space they are rectangle edges of, those pixels/digitbits must be on when there is an on bit somewhere downleft and downright after crossing empty cells, but if it finds either whole diagonal row empty then it must also be empty/zerodigit. The 2 main rules are: Any 2 cells below may both turn off and turn on the one above, or the reverse, and any on cell may move horizontally to an empty cell.

    MNCubes

    MNCubes

Research project to compute repeating patterns in discrete planes

A 2D line can be rasterized into a 8-connected sequence of pixels which exhibit repeating patterns of connected pixels. Likewise, a 3D plane can be rasterized into connected cubes. A 'rectangular' cut of m x n cubes is a (m,n)-cube. Given m and n, the goal of this project is to generate all the (m,n)-cubes for all the (integer) discrete planes, based on the intersection vertices on a Farey diagram.
