    Random Forest Assignment of Hosts

...To tackle this issue we developed a machine-learning approach named Random Forest Assignment of Hosts (RaFAH), which outperformed other methods for virus-host prediction. Our rationale was that the machine could learn the associations between genes and hosts much more efficiently than a human, while also using the information contained in the hypothetical proteins. Random forest models were built using the Ranger package in R.

AI Chatbots based on GPT Architecture

AI Chatbots based on GPT Architecture

Training & Implementation of chatbots leveraging GPT-like architecture

...This repo is a simple attempt to help solve that problem. ai-msgbot covers the practical use case of building a chatbot that sounds like you (or some dataset/persona you choose) by training a text-generation model to generate conversation in a consistent structure. This structure is then leveraged to deploy a chatbot that is a "free-form" model that consistently replies like a human. Some of the trained models can be interacted with through the HuggingFace spaces and model inference APIs on the ETHZ Analytics Organization page on huggingface.co.

Visual analysis and diagnostic tools to facilitate ML selection

Yellowbrick extends the Scikit-Learn API to make model selection and hyperparameter tuning easier. Under the hood, it’s using Matplotlib. Yellowbrick is a suite of visual diagnostic tools called "Visualizers" that extend the scikit-learn API to allow human steering of the model selection process. In a nutshell, Yellowbrick combines scikit-learn with matplotlib in the best tradition of the scikit-learn documentation, but to produce visualizations for your machine learning workflow.

    Video Pre-Training

    Video Pre-Training

Learning to Act by Watching Unlabeled Online Videos

The Video PreTraining (VPT) repository provides code and model artifacts for a project where agents learn to act by watching human gameplay videos—specifically, gameplay of Minecraft—using behavioral cloning. The idea is to learn general priors of control from large-scale, unlabeled video data, and then optionally fine-tune those priors for more goal-directed behavior via environment interaction. The repository contains demonstration models of different widths, fine-tuned variants (e.g. for building houses or early-game tasks), and inference scripts that instantiate agents from pretrained weights. ...

Wipe erase data from hdds on the network, unlimited hard disks

Automated network based hard disk drives / storage devices erasure is server based software which installs on a central server. Server is connected to network switches and several PXE boot enabled workstations are attached to the network. As soon as the workstation is powered on, it boots off the network via the server and begins wiping all the attached hard disk drives. Once all the hard drives are wiped, data related to each hard disk is stored in the central server’s database. Read...

    Interactome Transcriptome Integration
The Interactome-Transcriptome Integration (ITI) algorithm allows the analysis of gene expression data by superimposition of a large scale protein-protein interaction data (human interactome) over several gene expression datasets. ITI extracts regions in the interactome with differentiating expression over two conditions. These subnetworks can that be used to build a generalizable and stable genomic signature for genomic/cancer classification.

    CountBitsSet

minimal benchmark code for Counting Set Bits (ones) in an Integer

...Now I think, perhaps my little investigation is interesting for others too... PS: the parallel counting Algo is about 35% faster on average on my computers than a simple LUT based solution. Also this shows nicely how different a human brain compatible solution is to a binary machine optimal solution :-) In the meantime I added other Algorithms beside countbisset (hamming weight): ceil(log2()) + floor(log2()), bitreverse, ... I also recommand to try the code with different compilers and / or plattforms. PS: see result.txt in Code, to see various runs with different compilers and compiler switches

    Following Instructions with Feedback

Training Language Models to Follow Instructions with Human Feedback

The following-instructions-human-feedback repository contains the code and supplementary materials underpinning OpenAI’s work in training language models (InstructGPT models) that better follow user instructions through human feedback. The repo hosts the model card, sample automatic evaluation outputs, and labeling guidelines used in the process. It is explicitly tied to the “Training language models to follow instructions with human feedback” paper, and serves as a reference for how OpenAI collects annotation guidelines, runs preference comparisons, and evaluates model behaviors. ...

    godlp

    godlp

    Sensitive information protection toolkit

godlp appears to be another software project from ByteDance — however, as of the most recent checks, there’s very little publicly available information about it: the repository exists under ByteDance’s GitHub, but its documentation, README, and metadata are minimal (or not human-readable), and the project seems to have limited community visibility compared to their other major tools. Because of that opacity, one must infer that godlp is likely a specialized internal or early-stage tool, possibly related to internal optimization, data processing, or platform-specific functionality (given ByteDance’s historical patterns). ...
