CMD Plot Tool calculates and plots Colour Magnitude Diagrams (CMDs) from astronomical photometric data, e.g. of a star cluster observed in two filter bandpasses. It can handle multiple file formats (plain text, DAOPHOT .mag files, ACS Survey of Galactic Globular Clusters .zpt files) to generate professional and customised plots, without the usual steep learning curve. Development using Python, OOP and a formal software development lifecycle model (Agile) allowed for the creation of an application that can be deployed on multiple systems. It works “out of the box” and does not require any installation of development environments, additional libraries or resetting of system paths. The tool is available as a single application/executable file, with the source code, on Sourceforge. Sample data is also bundled, to demonstrate its complete functionality to users. Other functionality within this application is the ability to convert DAOPHOT magnitude files to CSV format. -

Source Han Sans is a set of OpenType Pan-CJK fonts. In addition to functional OpenType fonts, this open source project provides all of the source files that were used to build these OpenType fonts by using the AFDKO tools. Individual font resources or ZIP files for various deployment configurations are available for download. To help decide which fonts to download, please refer to the Configurations section of the official font readme file. Those who are unfamiliar with GitHub are encouraged to reference the official Source Han download guide, which is provided in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. You can also download entire releases that include all available configurations in two ZIP files. To build the binary font files from source, you need to have installed the Adobe Font Development Kit for OpenType (AFDKO). The AFDKO tools are widely used for font development today, and are part of most font editor applications. -

Scrcpy was created by the team behind the popular Android emulator Genymotion, but it is not an Android emulator itself, it displays and controls Android devices connected via USB or TCP/IP, it does not require any root access. It works with GNU/Linux, Windows, and MacOS. Scrcpy works by running a server on your Android device, and the desktop application communicates using USB (or using ADB tunneling wireless). The server streams the H.264 video of the device screen. The client decodes the video frames and displays them. The client captures input (keyboard and mouse) events, sends them to the server, and the server injects them into the device. If you want to see your Android screen interact with the app or content on your desktop, record your phone screen or perform other basic tasks, then Scrcpy is a good choice. In short, Scrcpy is an excellent way to easily view your Android screen on your computer and interact with it in real time. -
