    SPARTA

Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) Simulator

SPARTA is a parallel DSMC code for performing simulations of low-density gases in 2d or 3d. Particles advect through a hierarchical Cartesian grid that overlays the simulation box. The grid is used to group particles by grid cell for purposes of performing collisions and chemistry. Physical objects with triangulated surfaces can be embedded in the grid, creating cut and split grid cells.

    IPS Framework

A simple Python framework for loosely-coupled multiphysics simulations

The IPS Framework has migrated to https://github.com/HPC-SimTools/IPS-framework The IPS framework was developed to support loosely-coupled integrated modeling of fusion plasmas (and was originally the Integrated Plasma Simulator). However, the design is quite general, and is suitable for many scientific and engineering domains. In addition to plasma physics, it is also being used in the engineering of batteries. One of the novel features of the IPS framework is its ability to support parallelism at multiple levels: components can launch individual parallel tasks, and also launch multiple tasks concurrently. ...

Simulate high power rocket flights with splash down plots

This software allows you perform six degree of freedom simulations of High Power Rocket (HPR) and model rocket flights. Parachute descent is also simulated. 3D flight trajectories are produced as well as detailed tabular flight data. Running in Monte Carlo mode allows generates multiple possible flight paths and splash down plots, indicating the probability of landing in an area. Peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Open Research Software...

    qutoss

sandbox particle simulator that obeys schrödinger's equation

Enjoy bizarre Quantum Mechanics animations by throwing a 2D particle in arbitrary environments. There is infinite freedom in customizing the potentials: draw out absurd terrains, or opt for standard experiments such as double-slit. The project's purpose is to aid the user in building intuition for the peculiar workings of the quantum realm. As such, it aims to be user-friendly and does not require prior knowledge of QM. Currently only available for macOS and Windows users (Linux...

    Gravity Simulator

    Gravity Simulator

Multithreaded N-Point Gravity Simulation for PC and Android

Create a sun, spin some asteroids around it, and watch them collide and form planets. An N-Point Gravity Simulator is a realistic simulation in which all points attract each other: even the smallest asteroid has its own gravitational field that can affect even a large sun far away from it. Can be reused as a library for making games. If used as library, license is GNU LGPLv3, otherwise it's GNU GPLv3.

    Lagrangian Dynamics NF Sims

    Lagrangian Dynamics NF Sims

Articulated-body simulation engine written in C

Articulated-body simulation engine written in C: based on the Lagrangian Dynamics, even if on a modified flavour of it, I deviced to make it more friendly in the context of numerical simulations. The overall simulation procedure (de facto a full 3D, an articulated-body simulaiton engine) is called: "Lagrangian Dynamics' New Flavour Simulations". It is delivered through sample-simulators relying on it. The modified falvour of the Lagrangian Dynamics here proposed is also a bit...

    MatODE

Matlab interface to the Open Dynamics Engine (ODE)

MatODE is a simple Matlab toolbox for interfacing to the Open Dynamics Engine rigid body physics simulator (ODE, by Russell Smith), created by the Delft Biorobotics Lab (Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands). The system to be simulated is defined in an XML file, while the joint positions and motor signals can be sensed and actuated from a Matlab script. Examples are provided. Starting at version 0.30, MatODE is only available for Windows and Linux 64-bit. ...

MSP: a 3D flocking boids simulator

MSP: a 3D flocking boids simulator

A highly flexible 3D flocking boids simulator, conceived as a tool for

This project concerns the design and implementation of an open-source flocking boids simulator, designed as a tool to analyze and characterize flock-like collective emerging behaviors. Each boid is conceived as an active agent and modelled by a point-mass approximation. Boid movements in a 3D space are guided by a set of elementary steering behaviors, each implemented as a force acting on the boid's point mass. Each boid is affected by interactions with both the environment and other boids....

    SPTEmu

    A synchrophasotron emulator

A simulator for people who are interested in physics. Have you ever tried to calculate, e.g., nuclear reactions? I was totally confused by all these quants, neutrinos, alpha and beta decays, so I decided to create this synchrophasotron simulator. You just enter the reacting isotopes and/or particles and it simulates the reaction for you!

    Octree Method For Particles

simulation of particles using an oct-tree

...the further away, the more zoomed out. thus, i/o traffic is greatly reduced. combine this with the fact that it's an O(N) algorithm, and what you get is an accurate particle-based physics simulator whose simulation speed scales with the number of particles per compute unit even for VERY large particle counts and VERY large computing arrays. In a phrase, simulation on a massive scale!

    Offroad

    Offroad

Vehicle simulation with freedom of movement on large map (5x5km).

Simple Linux game inspired by Terep2 and 1nsane written in C++ using SDL library based on my own physics engine (spring systems and rigid body dynamic simulation). Offroad Engine was part of my bachelor thesis at Czech Technical University in year 2006. This is updated version from 2008 with improved graphics and sounds. Game map was originally imported from OpenTTD (that's why roads are so perpendicular) but now I decided to start working on this project again and to add support for...

    FlightCraft3D

    FlightCraft3D

realistic but simple flight simulator: exploration and casual landing

a little and 'mininalist' 3D Flight simulator, accompanied also by a dydactical example that illustrates the concept behind flight simulators. FlightCraft3D anyway goes a lot beyond: is physically realistic, and allowes landing everywhere. It aims at becoming a game focused on casual landing, among trees, rocks and buildings and so on. VID:http://youtu.be/_Af0PgrCTxo It shall be a sort of Minecraft-focused-on-aeromobilism. Simply implemented, but with many interesting features. I plan to...

realistic truck simulator with 3D graphics done from zero

A truck/car simulator, with realistic physics and oldstyle graphics: it displays pixels through the SDL graphics routines, or the X11 if using that version (has some issues:so use the SDL ver). While the 3D graphics is done by the program itself without external libraries. The environment is a hilly terrain:total freedom to drive around.A remake of the classic "Terep 2".
