    Solar Farm Calculator

    Solar Farm Calculator

Calculator to model a generic solar photovoltaic farm

...The user specifies the parameters of the site which then calculates the expected output energy at the grid entry point (GEP). A site and grid entry point can be selected using GPS coordinates which assist in calculating the insolation from the sun using PySolar. System components such as panels, DC and AC cables, inverter, transformer and transmission lines can be specified using the graphical user interface, which will then run the model simulation. The outputs from the simulation can be listed and plotted for the user to determine if the parameters produce a viable solar farm.

    MROrder

MROrder: Automated MapReduce Job Ordering Optimizaton Prototype System

MROrder is an automated MapReduce job ordering optimizaton prototype system. It targets at the online MapReduce workloads where MapReduce jobs arrives over time for various perfomane metrics, such as makespan, total completion time. There are two core components for MROrder, i.e., policy module and ordering module. The policy module decides when and how to perform job ordering dynamcially. The ordering engine, consists of two engines, namely, simulation-based engine and algorithm-based engine. ...

    babybiomorphs

    Biomorphs simulation with Baby X

Biomorphs are a way of explaining evolution invented by Richard Dawkins. The shapes are controlled by a small set of genes, which give colour, segment length, size, and degree of recursion. By changing a gene by a small amount, a small difference is made in neighbours. Many fascinating shapes can be found, and you can often home in on a desired shape by selecting relatives that are closer to your goal. The program uses the Baby X toolkit.

    WSN Localisation

Localisation system in wireless sensor networks using ns-2

This project presents an extension to ns-2, which enables a normal user, who has basic knowledge of ns-2, to simulate localization system within a wireless network. Moreover, this project would be beneficial to researchers who want to implement new or existing localisation algorithms and anyone new to ns-2 who wish to know more about how a simulation project is built and structured. [1],[2] provide more details. References [1] A. M. Abu-Mahfouz and G. P. Hancke, GP., “ns-2 extension to simulate localization system in wireless sensor networks,” In Proceedings of the IEEE Africon 2011 conference, 13-15 September , Livingstone, Zambia, 2011, pp. 01-07...

    Lagrange Rally 3D

    Lagrange Rally 3D

3D vehicle simulator based on Lagrangian dynamics to simulate dynamics

3D vehicle simulator in which vechicle's configuration as a whole (articulated body) , is represented by a 'vector' of generalised coordinates. so concepts like usual position and orientation of main body and wheels is all defined by the generalised coordinates.Using Lagrangian dynamics, theese coordinates are evolving in time in a realistic manner according to F=ma but as if there were also all constraint forces concretasing the presence of joints: hinge, prismatic, rigid connection, etc....
